JUSTICE LEAGUE Director Zack Snyder Shares Update On BATMAN V SUPERMAN IMAX Remaster Coming To Blu-ray

We know that another version of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is coming to Blu-ray, and director Zack Snyder has now shared a big update on what the plan is for this IMAX remaster. Check it out...

For the most part, theaters across the globe are currently closed, and some huge movies will be needed to tempt fans back to that big screen experience. It's possible Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be among them; in December, director Zack Snyder revealed he was working to correct some colour grading issues, and to restore the DC Comics adaptation's original IMAX ratio.

You can see the difference this work has made below, but while we wait on news of a possible IMAX release, Snyder has confirmed in an interview with I Minutemen that it will be available to watch from home.

"Blu-ray, 4K. I just approved the Blu-ray box the other day," he revealed. "So it for sure will exist on Blu-ray, and then I think it will exist on HBO Max. Look, I have to confirm now, but for sure we've been talking about the release. It's meant to, especially for the special edition, it’s to replace the one that was kind of messed up a little bit. The Blu-ray, I think, was okay. The 4K was [messed up]."

"I remember watching it on Apple movies or wherever it was, or somewhere, and going, 'Wait, what? That's not correct,'" Snyder added. "The reds were all blocked up, it was really weird."

The "Ultimate Edition" of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was first released on Blu-ray in 2016 with a whopping runtime of 151 minutes. Of course, that pales in comparison to what's believed to be a four-hour plus runtime for Zack Snyder's Justice League when it hits HBO Max next month!
