While appearing on the latest edition of DC Movie News on Popcorn Talk, Gotham writer Todd Stashwick announced that he's currently working on the script with director Gavin O'Connor (Warrior).

Stashwick didn't spill any plot details, but we do know that Leto, Margot Robbie, and Will Smith are all expected to reprise their roles, and there have been rumors that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's Black Adam could debut as the film's main antagonist.

Production on Suicide Squad 2 is expected to commence in Toronto later this year.
