THE FLASH Rumored To Completely "Erase" The SnyderVerse And Form A New Justice League THE FLASH Rumored To Completely "Erase" The SnyderVerse And Form A New Justice League

It's been a while since we had a juicy DCEU rumor, so let's start the new year off with some possible details relating to Andy Muschietti's upcoming The Flash movie. Snyder fans may not be pleased!

Andy Muschietti's The Flash wrapped production back in October, and much like similar Multiverse-themed adventure Spider-Man: No Way Home prior to its release, rumors relating to the movie continue to swirl online.

These latest details come our way via @MyTimeToShineH, who has been sharing quite a few intriguing scoops of late and seems to be fairly well regarded as an insider. He claims to have first-hand knowledge that The Flash will "erase every movie Zack Snyder has done," pretty much serving as a reset for the DCEU. Apparently, both Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill will be officially done after this film, with Sasha Calle's Supergirl taking over for Superman, Michael Keaton serving as Batman, and Batgirl (Leslie Grace) set to inherit the mantle after her solo HBO Max feature.

In addition, The Flash (Ezra Miller) is said to form a new Justice League alongside Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and Shazam (Zachary Levi) at the end of the movie.

Just like any of these unsubstantiated rumors that pop up online, it's important to take these details with a healthy dose of scepticism - although it might be worth noting that a lot of this does line up with previous reports that did the rounds back when The Flash was in the early stages of development. We already know Warner Bros. is eager to move away from the "SnyderVerse" era following the release of Zack Snyder's Justice League, so that part wouldn't exactly be major surprise. This is the first we've heard of a new League with these particular members, however.

Muschietti has not weighed in, but Shazam! Fury of the Gods director David F. Sandberg did Tweet the following in response to a fan.

What do you guys make of these latest rumors? How would you feel about The Flash "erasing" Snyder's movies from The DCEU? Drop us a comment down below.

I'm sorry but how is the Flash movie erasing previous films and rebooting the continuity a surprise to anyone at this point. Hasn't that been the premise since this finally got into production?

And if this is meant as some dramatic revelation, you have just shown by bringing Keaton back as Batman (for good apparently), that reboots are not as permanent as they use be. As long as studio can squeeze a buck out, it's never too late bring them back.

@Odin - A very vocal minority was still expecting Affleck and Cavill to return.

@TheHumanSpider2 - Well to fair, Affleck is making a small appearance in the Flash movie and the Supergirl was rumored to be (based on the costume from the comics) Kal-El's daughter from another timeline. Taking in those and DC's confusing movie continuity in general, not surprising or even unreasonable for some people to hope that they might end up still showing up somewhere, even as a cameo.

@Odin - They expected them to be back in full role, when Affleck not only said he is done as Batman, he said he is done with franchise movies in general!
And yes, he will have a cameo in this movie, but Cavill (according to Grace Randolph) wont, they will just show old footage of him on a TV screen.

@LucasTurkeyNeck - I'm starting to believe Ezra is someone's cousin, it makes no sense he is still playing the Flash.
