MS. MARVEL Social Media Reactions Praise A Visually Unique MCU Series And Breakout Star Iman Vellani
Early social media reactions for Ms. Marvel have surfaced after critics were sent the first two episodes, and it sounds like Marvel Studios has another Disney+ hit on its hands with Kamala Khan's debut...
Critics were recently sent the first two episodes of Ms. Marvel to review (that embargo lifts on June 7 at 6am PT), and that means we now have social media reactions.
As per usual, it's always wise to take these with a pinch of salt because the full reviews sometimes differ from the often overly positive kneejerk reactions shared on Twitter. However, having seen those first two chapters ourselves, we can tell you that Ms. Marvel definitely doesn't disappoint (you'll find our early verdicts embedded below).
This appears to be the general consensus, as the show's unique, seemingly Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse-inspired visuals receive a lot of mentions, as does newcomer Iman Vellani. Clearly, she's going to make this character her own, and it sounds like Marvel Studios is telling Kamala Khan's story in a meaningful, authentic way.
While all eyes will be on Obi-Wan Kenobi this week, Ms. Marvel is right around the corner and we're bound to see more from the show soon. Social media reactions like these do tend to offer a good idea of what to expect, and so far, it definitely sounds like one of the best MCU Disney+ series.
Ms. Marvel premieres on Disney+ on June 8!
It's early days (I've watched two episodes), but I'm not a fan of the changes to her powers. However, having recently re-read the comics, I can see why it's been done, and am intrigued to see where they're going.

Oh, and definitely don't skip the premiere's credits... #MsMarvel
It's also very funny. I found the trailers a bit cringe, but the show doesn't take itself overly seriously at all, and strikes just the right tone. Iman vellani is excellent in the lead, but the whole cast is strong. Don't really have any negatives (shocking, I know 😂)

I watched the first two episodes of #MsMarvel & I can say it is DELIGHTFUL! The show feels fully rooted in the MCU to an extent we've never seen before and it's so much fun. Iman Vellani is excellent as Kamala Khan—everything to do with her family is so good. Can't wait for more! pic.twitter.com/zyE8esLaFz

#MsMarvel gets off to an incredibly strong start! First two episodes are vibrant, heartfelt and a whole lot of fun. Stylistically stunning and way more down-to-earth than any other Disney+ MCU show so far. Iman Vellani is also absolutely killing it as Kamala Khan!

Very Spider-Man Homecoming in tone and aesthetic. Iman Vellani is charismatic, compelling & endearing. Her supporting cast rules. The soundtrack is BANGIN and its passion for Marvel is infectious. It's so fun. pic.twitter.com/AkQ64hCbBH
I know everyone says this every time but #MsMarvel really is the best MCU TV series we've had. It's fresh, new, and interested me in ways that the rest of Phase 4 just hasn't.

Kamala Khan? More like Kamala Can... we have more of this! pic.twitter.com/7wW2rgMj87
Watched the first 2 episodes of Ms. Marvel, and they are delightful. Iman Vellani is 5 1/2 feet of charm & charisma, and Kamala is compellingly rendered as an exciting and flawed hero. The style is bursting with creativity, delivering a look unlike anything in the MCU. #MsMarvel pic.twitter.com/ibIZcXetCs

#MsMarvel is really, really wonderful. Iman Vellani is a star and the stylized aesthetic, which feels almost like a live-action "Spider-Verse," is dazzling but never distracting. All the emotional stuff is front and center, real and honest. Get excited. pic.twitter.com/PixD3JJQHG

#Marvel isn’t trying to hide Kamala’s heritage or faith. She’s very clearly Pakistani & Muslim & her identity is important to the story. There’s at least a genuine effort at cultural & religious representation in #MsMarvel that wasn’t quite as strong in Moon Knight. pic.twitter.com/o8FOmSXaSv

#MsMarvel quite the treat! I enjoyed their attention to getting to know Kamala, her family, friends, and community. Loved the bright, young, fresh, aesthetic of the show. While it feels connected to the MCU it stands on its own. Looking forward for more! @msmarvel pic.twitter.com/rlfCC974oi
