AMAZING SPIDER-MAN Comic Book Writer Zeb Wells Was Part Of SHE-HULK TV Show's Writing Room
Zeb Wells is one of the most popular Spider-Man writers working today, and it's now been confirmed that the Amazing Spider-Man scribe was part of the She-Hulk writing team. Read on for further details...
She-Hulk is expected to arrive on Disney+ next year, and production recently wrapped on the series (meaning we could get some sort of first look at the show before 2022). Tatiana Maslany will play the title character, while Mark Ruffalo is set to return as Bruce Banner, likely to give his cousin the blood transfusion that transforms her into a superhero.
Jessica Gao is She-Hulk's Head Writer, while Dana Schwartz, Melissa Hunter, Cody Ziglar, and Kara Brow have all previously been named as being part of the show's writing team.
At the end of yesterday's issue of Amazing Spider-Man #75, editor Nick Lowe talked about the comic's new creative team, confirming that writer Zeb Wells worked on She-Hulk in the process! "Cody Ziglar's participation here is Zeb's fault," he noted. "Cody and Zeb worked together in the writers' room of the upcoming Marvel Studios Disney+ She-Hulk show, and Zeb told me Cody was the real deal."
Wells' name should definitely be familiar because he's penned some of the best Spider-Man stories in recent years, including "Shed", the underrated Avenging Spider-Man series, and Carnage U.S.A. He's also worked on titles such as Venom: Dark Origin, Spider-Man/Doctor Octopus: Year One, and the Robot Chicken TV series. His sensibilities should be a perfect fit for a series like She-Hulk.
More is bound to be revealed about She-Hulk soon, but Wells promises to be a great addition to the Disney+ series. We'd also recommend picking up Amazing Spider-Man #75, especially if you're a fan of Ben Reilly (Peter Parker's clone will be front and centre in the Marvel Universe moving forward).
