Big Hero 6 is an action-packed comedy adventure about robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada, who learns to harness his genius — thanks to his brilliant brother Tadashi and their like-minded friends: adrenaline junkie Go Go Tamago, clean freak Wasabi No-Ginger, chemistry whiz Honey Lemon and fanboy Fred. When a devastating turn of events catapults them into the midst of a dangerous plot unfolding in the streets of San Fransokyo, Hiro turns to his closest companion — a cutting-edge robot named Baymax—and transforms the group into a band of high-tech heroes determined to solve the mystery. Inspired by the Marvel comics of the same name, and featuring comic-book style action and all the heart and humor audiences expect from Walt Disney Animation Studios.

The movie is set for release on November 7, 2014.

Hm... this might be a good idea for a short film, but I don't see the point of this movie being released theatrically.

"From the creators of Wreck-it Ralph and Frozen"?

I actually got a little excited for a minute, but the writers and directors aren't the same, so I guess... producers, then? While neither of those movies blew my socks off, they both had a solid narrative and emotional themes, and were overall well-done. I don't know how I feel about this.

Actually, does Disney have the rights to all of Marvel's characters for animated theatrically-released films? Anyone know the deal on that?

Why can't they put a marvel logo with this one or something like 'based on a marvel comic' etc.

or maybe they don't want any confusion with the studios eh?

Anyway, I'll give this a go...

Not feeling it, but I'm sure the kids will eat it up. I rarely get hooked on animated movies from the trailer though, unless there is some cool ass action beats in it. Humor is just not a big enough draw to get my ass in a theater seat, animated or not.

@Spock0Clock: it's just the same animation studio as Frozen and Wreck-it Ralph... Just as Pixar name drops its last few hits when promoting their latest film.

the Toy campaign for this movie is going to be through the roof since Disney is releasing this movie just before the Holiday season.

idk why if this is a marvel property they dont use the MARVEL tag. That alone would make ppl interested.

@JredTheRed I agree. The absence of the Marvel logo is very strange...

This is basically the same gag as the first "Incredibles" teaser, with Mr. Incredible trying to squeeze into his old super suit... Only that had enough context in it to give an idea of the film (retired superhero wants to get back to his glory years). This has no context at all... Who is the kid, why does he want to cram a baffling seemingly sentient inflatable dough boy into armor not its size, and so on...?

I hope the film is entertaining, but I don't think this teaser was the best way to go.

Just for the [frick] of it, why not. *clears throat* This movie will make more with it's original characters than WB's LEGO MOVIE with the JL cameo.

If it's as bad as frozen, then it should never be released, and all original copies should be deleted from existence.

@nibs I don't think it's intended for tough guys like you. I think FROZEN has a billion under it's belt so it'll sell none the less.

Anybody else notice the Avengers music cue in the beginning? Nice touch, whether it was deliberate or not.

Looks cool, need to see more though.

@Nibs Yeah I'm sure if Disney thought it was as bad as Frozen they'd delete it. Yup, that movie that made over a billion dollars.
