Cars 2 Trailer and Concept Art

A teaser trailer and four concept art images for Cars 2 have been released, and it looks like our heroes are no longer in Radiator Springs. Lighting McQueen and Mater will be racing around the globe in some sort of spy/espionage story.

T2, ironically I was just gonna post mostly the same as you.

I liked Cars, but a sequel seems like a total cash-in, same with this Monsters Inc sequel (even though Monsters Inc was brilliant). Both movies ended with proper endings ,with everything tied up at the end & no need for a sequel. As you said The Incredibles could be perfect for a sequel, WHY ARENT THEY MAKING ONE?!

the sequel could be perfect looking at how the family works together as a superhero team and the pressures that comes with it, we only began to see how they work together towards the end of the first movie. And a third one could look at what happens to a superhero family when they get too old, with the parents giving up being superheroes and the kids beginning to question do they want to spend the rest of their lives as superheroes. Something like that

The Incredibles trilogy could be as amazing as the Toy Story trilogy

@T2 Good call. I would even like a Frozone spin off. Pixar could do a snuff film and It would still make money.

how about a crossover sequel where the incredibles find andy's toys go to the beach and meet nemo who is about to be cooked by ratatouille so they use monsters inc to scare them away into cars world where they step on flik from a bugs life near the old guy from ups house whose new friend is wall-e. did i miss 1?

@t2
Yea, Toy Story 3 was an amazing ending to the trilogy, loved that movie but 3 should be the last movie

@Mark S
Wow, you got everyone of the movies I think, that is a quite impressive insane crossover plot lol

Apart from Cars, I think the all of the Pixar movies could easily take place in the same universe

I liked Mosters Inc better when it was called AH! Real Monsters!....I honestly didn't like Cars that much. Don't know why, I guess it's just that it wasn't quite up to par with the others in terms of intelligence, and the moral at the end seemed kinda forced.

Plus I don't like this sequel 2 years in a row thing. I always look forward to seeing what pixar is going to put out next, and the past 2 times it's been "oh...it's something they've already done. How original." Not to say that the movies themselves are the same as the first, Pixar can come up with some brilliant concepts to go off of. It's just disappointing to see the same concept done over again with a new story, rather than a new concept all together.

Cars was so gay. wtf is the point of the sequel? what about a bugs life sequel! that's a world that deserves to be revisited. but a world populated solely by cars? that's just weird.

plus i can't f'ing stand larry the cable guy aka daniel whitney aka the gayest man alive.

Disney-Pixar has come up with some of the most original and best concepts in Animated Film making. Though Cars was ohkay, but it didn't live up to Disney-Pixar movie standards. Though it's a bit risky, I think they're making a reasonable move by making up for a sequel. I would rather see a new concept than re-watch a continuation of Cars. A movie called 'Newt' was set to be released, but was cancelled because of the production for Cars 2, Brave, and Monsters Inc 2. With the exception of Toy Story, which was a damn good franchise, movies such as Cars don't need a sequel. 'Newt' would have been a far more interesting concept than a re-run on a world filled with Automobiles with artificial intelligence. I hope this movie lives up to the works of Disney and Pixar in the past. In conclusion, I give the utmost support to Disney(though I don't think I'll be paying to see this) and wish you good luck Pixar, good luck.

Cars isn't the best Pixar film. But, even the worst Pixar film is better than your average flick.

@Crazyhorrormovienerd

How is Monster's Inc just like "Ahh!! Real Monsters!"? Cause they both have monsters? And they scare people? Lol that's what monsters do. :P

Although.... did anyone else notice that The Incredibles were very similar to the Fantastic Four? They were both a family of superheroes, and they had the tank, the stretchy one, and the invisible girl. They even had what appeared to be an ultra omega-level baby. And the Underminer?! TOTALLY THE MOLE-MAN!! You do the math. :)

Cars was good, interested in seeing the seqel. I'm always up for a film made by Pixar. Pixar isn't one for sequels except for Toy Story. They wouldn't make a second Cars unless they had a good reason.(Remember people, I said the same thing about Avatar and no one listened. Until it came out and look at it. Avatar was the biggest moneymaker in the history of Cinema)

Favorite Pixar film

Finding Nemo

No so favorite Pixar film: WALLE
Crazyhorrormovienerd
Crazyhorrormovienerd - 10/20/2010, 9:53 PM
@indoraptor12- Well not just that, but the fact that they are an organization of monsters whose goal is to scare children for their own gain.

On a side note after thinking about it Cars is actually the only Pixar movie I didn't go see in theaters. The thing about Pixar to me is they always release that first trailer that says nothing about the movie except the premise and half the time I end up thinking it looks really stupid (Up, Ratatouille, Walle) and then they release the full trailer and they have me hooked. Cars didn't do that for me. Even after seeing the whole story I was just like "Okay...still looks stupid"

When is this out?! Saw a poster when I was at Disney World last Christmas but heard nothing until now!

I do agree with most on here, Incredibles is the front runner when it comes to needing a sequel! I can't see what they'll do with this but I'm interested in finding out!

i agree T2, cars isnt very original or as intesting as many of pixars other work, honestly i'd rather just see something new and not any sequels...pixar's stand alone story's are very good and leave an imprint in your mind, we dont need to load it up with money grubbing sequels

It's legit for Disney to cash in on their hot properties, as they're known to keep the product in certain quality. It's not like they produce shit (that people like to pay for, anyway) like the Transformers franchise or XMO: Wolverine.

T2* I agree...least favorite, had its good parts, but not enough...nothing like the rest. Definitely that's what I thought the opening for the preview was talking about the next Incredibles movie, or at least that's the way it sounded to me.
NarutoParker
NarutoParker - 10/21/2010, 11:34 PM
a bug's life 2??? naw! that's only one up from cars. And I don't think Monster's Inc needs a sequel. But the Incredibles would be perfect or Finding Nemo 2. Not sure how they'd do it, but its Pixar they can do anything.
