The legendary video game / comic comes to the App Store on Friday June 15. Don Bluth is not only a renowned director of animated films. He also created the characters of the famous video games for arcade Laserdisc.

Do you remember this Don Bluth's classic arcade videogame? Space Ace was his third Laserdisc arcade videogame, after Dragon's Lair and Dragon's Lair II: Time Warp.

Digital Leisure and Dragon's Lair LLC announce that Space Ace will be availalbe in Full HD for iPad on the AppStore this Friday June 15th worldwide.





In Space Ace you play the heroic Ace who must stop the evil Commander Borf from taking over the Earth! Borf plans to reduce all of humankind to infants and take over the planet. Only two people have the courage and strength to stop Borf and save Earth: the beautiful Kimberly and the heroic Ace. But as they approach Borf’s stronghold, Ace is hit by the Infanto Ray, changing him into a child, and Kimberly is kidnapped by the evil madman. Armed with only a laser gun, Ace must find and destroy the Infanto Ray, rescue Kimberly and save the Earth.

This release of Don Bluth’s legendary animated arcade game features video transferred directly from the high definition film master, delivering the sharpest images and most vibrant colors ever – far better than the original laserdisc release.

Space Ace HD is available for iPad June 15th for only $4.99 USD.








Don Bluth was a key animator on Disney's movies like Robin Hood, Winnie the Pooh, Pete's Dragon, The Rescuers, 101 Dalmatians, The Fox and the Hound, Sleeping Beauty and The Sword in the Stone. After his departure in 1979, he make his own films like The Secret of Nimh (1982), An American Tail (1986),The Land Before Time (1988) and All Dogs Go to Heaven (1989). And, yes. Also he created Dragon's Lair and Space Ace.

In 2009, the comic versions of both Space Ace and Dragon 's Lair were available.

i remember when this game first came out,i was f*ckin shit at it.

same goes for dragon's lair.

[frick]ing bullshit! They finally come out with the game in modern times and I have to get a [frick]ing Ipad to play it. Can't they just sell this on XBL or PSN? The [frick]!

@Gutts81, actually there are PS3 and Xbox versions of the game. THe 360 actually uses Kinect to play with!!
