Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has confirmed that the original all-ages animated feature JLA Adventures: Trapped In Time will hit DVD on January 21st, 2014. The DVD-only release will be available exclusively at American Target locations starting next week.

Dubbed a “stealth release,” wherein a home entertainment product is given no promotion and limited availability due to its perceived audience reach, JLA Adventures: Trapped In Time is an all-new animated feature featuring the Justice League facing off against the classic Legion of Doom. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has currently not provided any official details about the animated movie, but JLA Adventures: Trapped In Time producer Giancarlo Volpe (Green Lantern: The Animated Series) has recently taken to social media to drop a few tidbits.

With a runtime of roughly 52 minutes, Volpe called the animated feature an “all-new adventure, featuring the Justice League and the Legion of Doom, plus a couple curve balls.” Volpe added that JLA Adventures: Trapped in Time is a stand-alone feature.

More details, including a larger shot of the cover art, are available at The World's Finest.

JLA Adventures: Trapped In Time – a co-production between Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, DC Entertainment, and Warner Bros. Animation – hits DVD on January 21st, 2014, available only at US Target locations.

So glad that this isn't a DC Universe DVD. To have two seperate ventures means that the DCU Original Animated Movies could start to get even more adult-oriented. Perhaps we'll get a Killing Joke adaptation after all? And maybe some Vertigo titles?
Still, knowing WB/DC animation, these all ages movies will probably be awesome, too. Remember, the DCAU was all ages.

It's an American exclusive I believe, using some guerilla strategy. Not spending a cent on advertising and doing a full blown marketing campaign 5 days prior by putting it on Target shelves for people to take a gander. Interesting to say the least.

This was just announced this morning on Giancarlo (Green Lantern: TAS) Twitter. It was a secret project that no one other then the people involed knew about. The producer did tell me though that it will be more "Family-Friendly" then most other DC projects. He also said it will have hints to Young Justice and Green Lantern: TAS, though not a continuation of them. Green Lantern TAS was amazing, so I'm definitely gonna be checking this out.

Well I did enjoy Green Lantern the Animated Series. Giancarlo did a good job on that TV show. He made Guy Gardner an interesting dude. I will have to look into this now. I hope the movie will be good.

I didn't know anything about this animated feature. Wonder Woman's suit is much better than this in Justice League: War and it could work in a live-action movie.

This is probably going to look a lot like the Black Lightning shorts from DC Nation, according to info from the link above. Also, the karate guy is Karate Kid - so that's original...

@ Nibs & Geeksiah that would be Karate Kid. He is classed as a level 15 martial Artist where Batman is classed as 12.

I am surprised though this is not coming to Amazon.

As mentioned the karate guy is Karate Kid and also the winged girl is Dawnstar. They are both Legion of Superheroes members, and there for from the future. Fitting since the title is trapped in time. Hopefully we get some more members from LoSH.
