Over his twitter account, Marvel comics chief, Joe Quesada, replied to fans criticism of the Ultimate Spider-man cartoon and the bad reviews(located here, here, and here) that were forwarded to him by a dissatisfied fan. Below is Quesada's reply:
Me:

Joe Quesada: "As I said before, I respect your opinion on ther matter, but Tweeting me every week isn't really going to help your case. While you and a few other posters may like to complain about the show, there are many, many more fans who like it. We are well into working on season 2, so my suggestion at this point is if you don't like the show, you shouldn't be watching it.  I hate to be this blunt about it, but I feel like you should devote your energies to other endeavors at this point other than watching a show you clearly hate and then complaining about it. Like I said, I respect your opinion, but I'm pretty sure that nothing we do at this point will make you happy."

So to make a long story short, Ultimate Spider-man is getting a second season, and so far, it seems there will be no changes to the tone and setting of the show. So as Joe said, if you don't like the show now, chances are you won't like future season, and should quit watching it.

no, he said something smart, they are a company that work to make money, and they thought that a "mindless" show was necessary, it's just like a Marvel Ben10, so they have a certain target, and that target is not the fans on this site, or fans that like "classic" comics.
Quesada said they it the spot with this show, so he DOESN'T want you to see the show, and, as he said, don't watch it then!
However, IMHO, i think that even the USM comic was awful ,so i'm not surprised ;)

You should;ve forwarded a message to him of how and why they'd rather be canceling Avengers EMH instead of Ultimate Spidey

I am also disappointed that the show is so over the top with mindless jokes. However, because the show has basically just started, they might look into doing something else when they finish production on season two. I mean, why would they change the show when they basically already have a ton of episodes already finished. On the one positive note, I like the animation style more than the Avengers, it is just too bad the Spiderman's writing and tone is so awful.

@TelaVizion yeah, actually ben10 it's a lot better than this, my excuses to him :D
And, i said, i liked even more the super hero squad show, at least it is silly, but has irony with it, and it can make you laugh sometimes.
In this i can see only trying to COPY Ben10

He wouldn't be getting all this criticism if they weren't rumored to be cancelling their one GOOD show, Avengers EMH, in favor of rebooting it in the mold of Ultimate Spier-Man. THAT is why he's getting so much $hit. Leave Avengers alone and the harrassing tweets will likely stop.

I find it kind of amazing that he said if you don't like it, don't watch it. I bet he even knows the show is a flop

Very impressed with joes words. Dont like, dont watch. Its that simple. One question for the moaners, how would the cancellation of this show affect you? Think about your answer.

So, you sent a bunch of forum links to Quesada and considered it newsworthy... okay. And judging by Quesada's tone, you've been doing it a lot, which characterizes you as the angry nerd who's mad because USM "ISN'T MY SPIDER-Man!" Or, judging by thee tone of your posts, it's because the Avengers cartoon is ending with the average 52 episode limit, despite poor ratings, and you need a scapegoat.

Out of curiosity, did you link him to positive reviews from websites like Toonzone, Comic Book Resource, The A.V. Club, or Science Fiction?

What an @sshole, the people watching every week, yet complaining about it, may not be fans of the show, but they are fans of the character....and they want to be heard!!!

As for morons like @dellamorte1872 saying, "Just don't watch it"....that will have no impact on ratings if (like 99% of the population) they aren't Nielsen Homes. So FCUK that passive ideology, be ACTIVE, keep blowing up his twitter, facebook, etc accounts.....you clearly got a rise out of him already! Maybe in a writers meeting it will be something as simple as him saying, "I kinda see what some people are saying about these jokes, can we do better?", that creates a change...

...at least you'll have tried, better than that bullsh!t, "Ignore it and it will go away" mindset.

Like he said, just stop watching, the ratings fall and all the sponcers pull their funding and walla, the show is off the air. Then Joe and all his buddies get fired.

First off lets remember Marvel is owned by Disney now so therefore we get a kid friendly version of Marvel heroes on their channel, and if you really don't care for the show then don't watch it, or if you are take it for what it is, a cartoon.

He says to let people who like the show watch it, but who [frick]ing likes it? If it came to it I would choose EMH over that shit Ultimate Spiderman. Do the higher ups at Marvel like swimming in denial? or just money?
If they keep treating people like they do, they will have no fans whats so ever.

Guys new to all this but totally agree with your feelings. However I have a better idea to address the situation. See Joe has an ego that you can’t touch him. You need to follow the money. Tweets alone and turning the dial won’t get thru to them. You have to start a campaign to address them in the pocket book. Find the names of the shows sponsors. Then go to the sponsors and tell them why you’re not going to watch and also mention the fact Joe told you to stop watching. They won’t like that. Regardless of your tweets Joe should have just said hay keep watching it will get better I promise even if he’s lying. If we go to the head and cut it off Joe will find himself in trouble. So that’s the idea people hit those sponsors web sites and tell them the show you’d rather have on the air!
