This summer will show the beginning of a couple of new shows for Cartoon Network. Beware The Batman and Teen Titans Go! are all set up to take the place of cancelled shows Green Lantern: The Animated Series and Young Justice on DC Nation. The network has release a couple of photos from the shows, one from Beware The Batman, and three for Teen Titans Go!. Check them out below.

Teen Titans Go! will be a fresh comedic take on the characters that made the original Teen Titans show so popular. The show is set to debut on DC Nation sometime in April. Beware The Batman on the other hand, is a new take on the classic Dark Knight franchise. Featuring an ex-secret agent Alfred and new side kick Katana, Batman finds him self trying to take down the likes of Anarky, Professor Pyg, Mister Toad and Magpie. This series will be making its way to DC Nation some time in the Summer.

Didn't really watch YJ or GL, but this is bullshit. From what I understand(and plan to find out) those were great shows, and they are being replaced by this shit? Yup this about on par with Marvel cancelling Spectacular Spider-Man and Avengers: EMH for Ultimate Spider-Man and Hulk, Agents of SMASH.

I swear DC must have hired Loeb to take over their animation division...

Teen titans looks like a shell of its former self. I'm reserving expectations on BtB but the tone, CGI and lighting in the picture above looks awesome.

That's impressive. I don't know who's bright idea it was to take the comical anime inspired "breaking the 4th Wall" gag animation from Teen Titans and use it for the main design scheme for the show, but they're obviously determined to get that toy demographic Young Justice didn't.

Of course, it might help if they didn't stick the main characters into more expensive Two Packs for the "normal" priced figures or price the taller, more poseable figures at $20 bucks a pop. Because that's every parent's dream. I suspect these designs will make for a nice, cheap product with low overhead (not that the original Teen Titans designs were all that complex).

Have to say, this makes the first Teen Titans toon look like Young Justice in comparison. My jury is still out on Beware The Batman and his Trusty Shotgun Totin' Butler, Alfred.

Inasmuch as I want more superhero animation on the air, what the hell possessed CN to cancel two EXTREMELY well made shows. YJ & GL lived up to the legacy of Batman TAS, Superman, Batman Beyond & Justice League. Teen Titans Go, frankly looks like crap (or Powerpuff Girls). Beware the Batman looks good, but why subtract?

The CGI looks better than the initial promo for Beware... however it is confusing. Is this show for kids, because it looks really dark. I swear, these studios want to ruin not only their material, but the minds of youngsters. It still doesnt even look that good for adult fans >.< Way to crap on the source material fellas *facepalm*

the design for Beware the Batman just look terrible to me. I feel like they are trying to go dark, but when you have a fat guy in a pig mask and a talking frog as villains that just seems way to silly. Bring back BTAS, that was one of the greatest cartoons ever shown of TV. I'm a 90's kid when cartoons were at their peak and now you have crap like this. Teen Titans just looks like a little girl show the way it's animated. The original show was actually quite dark at some points and had great animation. i refuse to watch any more cartoons nowadays, except for a little Spongebob.

need to see the shows to really judge, but man, i not so sure bout TTG. what? why? even if it is a fun little show, lots won't give it chance. comic fans will pass. little kids will watch what they are watching right now, not something with the same style and a bunch of characters they don't know. they will watch the characters they do know and love, kids are obsessive that way. makes little sense to me. i've seen no attempt to really promote these shows to their respective demograhics, but lots of push towards fanboys, who will pass.

swing and a miss

So is this new Teen Titans cartoon a full length version of those DC nation shorts? If so, then I have 0 interest. That stuff is for toddlers.
I'll stick to the Home movie releases. Flashpoint suckas!

People do know that they didn't cancel either "Young Justice" or "Green Lantern" for these, right? Had those first two been hits, they would be on in *addition* to these, which was always the plan.

It's not like the "Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes" situation where they actually did cancel the show in order to produce a new Avengers show in house instead. These two new shows above had nothing to do with any other show's demise.
