New TRANSFORMERS Animated Series Arriving In 2015

The Hub Network has announced that a brand new animated series for the Robots in disguise set in the same timeline as Transformers Prime will air sometime in 2015. Bumblebee will lead this incarnation of the Autobots, and you can take a look at an image of him after the jump.

The robots in disguise will return to the small screen in a new, as yet untitled animated series next year. Bumblebee will lead the team, and the show will be set years after Transformers Prime. Will Friedle will return to voice the little yellow Autobot, with Darren Criss, Constance mimer, and Ted McGinley also announced as unnamed cast members. Apparently the series will "use CGI characters on hand-painted environments, and has an action focus."

Heh, for once someone actually went back to old school animation.
Instead of the much hated CGI (I quite like cgi tbh)

I actually thought the CGI fit the Transformers really well. Prime was one of the best transformers adaptions in recent time. Really a great series.

Where is Optimus? Did he die for the gazillionth time?

I'm guessing Optimus stayed back on Cybertron for this series.
@ Gyasiman - I agree 100% Prime was the best TF show since Generation One (and I love Beast Wars and Beast Machines) . had nods to that, and the Bay movies as well as the comics. I also like the games War for and Fall of Cybertron and that they're actually connected is also pretty cool.

Also is EVERYONE missing the write up that says the show will be CGI on hand painted environments? Guess so!

I watched some some Transformers Energon, and Transformers Armada, but dont remember much of it. I watched Beast Wars too but i dont remember much of that one, its been a long time now.

the ones i do remember are Transformers Cybertron and transformers Prime.
And i completely skipped over TAS because of its cheesy and childish animation.

Cybertron and Prime were great series IMO, with great animation (especially Prime), Prime also had a great story.

If the image above is any indication as to how the animation will be in this new series, I probably wont be watching.

IDK about you guys, but for me the animation style is important if I'm gonna be watching the show. So I dont really like when characters look weird and disproportionate (I.e. Transformers: TAS, Superhero Squad show, teen titans go, etc)

It says it uses CGI characters so the animation will be 3D. The backgrounds are hand painted but the buildings and stuff will be 3D modelled too I'm guessing.

Show Ended in a cliff hanger, the story was later finished with a TV movie.

TF Prime was excellent. I don't know that it needs a continuation though... it ended on a fitting note.

@Shaanyboi

The story for this new series is set years after TF: Prime.
What I dont understand is why they're going with a different animation style.
Prime had great animation, this looks like a downgrade.

maybe they're trying to sell more toys...

Well, judging by the picture it looks like they are combing the story of TF Prime and the tone/style of TF Animated

Just finished Prime. Great show! I can't wait to see this new show. It's rare we get to truly move forward with shows. Everything is always stagnant, telling similar stories. I loved Batman Beyond because it was moving forward from the DCAU but still paying homage. I'd love a show with Bumblebee leading a fresh set of Autobots, with B being a more laid back version of Prime. Same heroic attitude, same sense of justice, but with a younger slant. But He'd be the veteran now. Throw in some Dinobots, and I'm good. Prime can't be the only leader the Autobots ever have, and I'm sure he'll still be the leader, but B is the leader of a team on Earth
