Deadline is reporting that Warner Bros.' upcoming animated Scooby-Doo feature film, formally titled S.C.O.O.B., has added two key pieces in 2x Academy Award-nominee Mark Wahlberg (Instant Family) and Golden Globe-nominee Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter).

Wahlberg will portray the Hanna-Barbera superhero Blue Falcon while Isaacs will play the mustache twirling supervillain Dick Dastardly, who will alsoD be the film's primary antagonist.

They join an all-star cast that will feature the voice talents of Frank Welker (Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!) as the titular Great Dane, Will Forte (The Last Man on Earth) as Shaggy Rogers, Zac Efron (Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile) as Fred Jones, Amanda Seyfried (Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again) as Daphne Blake, Gina Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin) as Velma Dinkley, Tracy Morgan (30 Rock) as Captain Caveman, Kiersey Clemons (The Flash), and Ken Jeong (The Hangover) as Dynomutt.

While plot details are being kept under wraps, the story will reportedly see the fan-favorite Mystery Inc. gang join forces with other heroes of the Hanna-Barbera universe to save the world from Dick Dastardly and his latest evil plot.

Tony Cervone (Scooby-Doo! And Kiss: Rock and Roll Mystery) is directing the animated feature with Chris Columbus, Pam Coats, and Allison Abbate on board as producers and Charles Roven, Richard Suckle, Dan Povenmire, and Adam Sztykiel attached as executive producers.

The film is set to open May 15, 2020.

Seeing Marky Mark say “And I would have gotten away with it too if it weren’t for you meddling kids and your dumb dog!” Would be hilarious.

This just keeps getting funnier. Jason Isaacs is going to have quite the time filling the shoes of the late, great Paul Winchell.

I am kinda looking forward to this, I haven't thought about Dick Dastardly in ages. I wonder if any of the Wacky Racers are going to cameo?

I'm pretty excited for it because the concept remind me of Yogi's Gang.

also ... i'm curious about animation. im hoping for some old school animation, maybe slightly updated.

Also ... If this animation would succeed then maybe they can go with Space Ghost or Birdman and the Galaxy Trio animated flick.
