Bruce Timm Returns!

Yes, Bruce Timm is stepping down as the Supervising Producer of Warner Bros. Animation but this development is something of a win/win. Jim Tucker will be running the show moving forward and he'll be looking to give fans something fresh and new by utilizing Batman and Superman as a means to bring other DC characters to the spotlight. This is what many fans have been clamoring for after a nearly two-decade long focus on The Dark Knight and the Man of Steel.

Timm is taking a break to work on his own projects but once WB says 'go', he'll quietly begin serious efforts on something else for Warner Bros. Animation an individual inside the Burbank offices informs us. Namely, Timm will be creating a new Justice League cartoon series that will be firmly set within the DC Animated Universe or Timmverse if you will. Exactly when the series will debut depends on WB's plans for the Justice League live-action movie as they want to launch the new cartoon around the same time as the film.

Excited?

That's WB Animation publicist Gary Miereanu for those that don't know.

This sounds fantastic. It'd be cool if the Justice League movie was heavily inspired by the animated series. Huge fan of the DCAU.

I think this article title might be a little misleading.

No guys, it says he's gonna return with a justice league cartoon. Not live action.

I was thinking of how easy it could be to build up the team before bringing them all together in JL. Ik that it says Timm is working on an Animated Series but if he got involved with live action projects, it would be golden.

Goyer/ Nolan - SUPERMAN.
Bruce Timm and Paul Dini can be in charge of the next BATMAN movie = ultimate win.
Goyer/Nolan/Timm can create a wonderful WONDER WOMAN story - win.
Bruce Timm can get the team that worked on the GREEN LANTERN Animated Series to develop a live action movie - win.
Goyer can get the green light on his FLASH story he worked on - win.
Goyer/Nolan/Timm/ Dini = Biggest win in DC history.

Of course they'd need to bring back all the original voice actors from the DCAU. Kevin Conroy has to voice Batman.

@SupermanFan

Thank you for putting Donovan as Batman! Ive been saying that for forever now. Only problem I have with him is his age, other than that he is perfect as Bruce.

And if this somehow does turn into a live action thing, I hope they dont use the Arkhamverse. As much as I love the games and their style, Id like to see a new approach. I dont just want a live action version of the animated series.

If Timm is involved in live action stuff, I'm sure he'll do the right thing and give Superman his underwear back.

Cool. I glad he is stepping down for a while. From his comments all he wanted to pursue was the most popular story lines from Bats and Supes. Remember him stating that stories from Flash and Auqaman wouldn't be good because they didn't sell as well as Bats and Supes.

As long as they can keep the talent that have written the stories and casting great VA for the movies and series, they will continue to be a success.

They would be wise to put him on the team in charge of developing a live action JL movie.

I thought Bruce Timmy wasn't calling the shots on all the peo-Batman movies and lack of other DC heroes? Clowns, the man isn't a fan of other DC heroes. He's said it, other DC heroes, in his opinion, don't have interesting stories. Hell, he gets forced to make Superman movies and the quality shows.

Why give JL to that clown? Does WB need to make Batman more popular? I liked the Justice League cartoons, but everytime Batman showed up the other heroes turned to idiots so Batman can be basses and cool.
