Just finished The Dark Knight Returns Part II. This movie is EVERYTHING I hoped. I DESTROYS any Nolan film EASILY..

Warner Bros. needs to follow the DC animated template for their Live Action films and NOT the Nolan garbage.
Its the Nolan template that they are using for Man of Steel and the more I hear about it the less appealing it is.

the fight scene between Batman and Superman is little bit of a letdown, I think they should've at least did some exact imagery of what Frank Miller draw just to pay homage to the comics, like the scene where Bruce's boot lands on Supermans chin which is clearly absent in the movie.

I enjoyed it but they removed the Superman asking the very earth itself to give him life back. The scene is still there but why not have the dialogue, it would have been far more emotional of an impact.

DKR PT. 2 was epic i do agree with Stuckinpanels i thought the same thing but it wasnt a superman movie im pretty sure the producers said ehh screw it its a Batman movie lol

@Sithlord i think it was everything the battle needed Batman knew he was dying Superman seen it too but Batman jus wanted to get his point across and Superman got his ass handed to him

FINALNOTE: now what are Oliver and Bruce doin after all this we need a super sequel to this movie ASAP

I was so disappointed in TDKR part 2, I LOVED TDKR part 1.

Joker was phenomenal, and I absolutely loved it when he shot up the tunnel of love.

Supes was great, and I loved every moment he was on screen with Bruce.

The final 15-20 minutes, especially with the inclusion of Oliver Queen, was fantastic.

Now the negatives:

- Robin, holy [frick] is she annoying. Shes just [frick]ing annoying. And why is Batman going into situations HE KNOWS he can't get out of alone and then continues to be surprised when he has to call on her?

- Supes subplot destroying soviet planes. This was so boring only until Supes was caught in the explosion. I also get Supes is a slave to the government, but he acts like such a little bitch.

- The whole city destruction scene was just bad imo. It was only 4 minutes I and so much happens in it, just boring.

- The commissioner is just dumb, and her change to like Batman comes out of nowhere.

I've seen all the animated films, and I PERSONALLY don't believe this one holds a candle to Nolans films.

TDKR part 1, Mask of the Phantasm, and Return of the Joker I hold as the best next to Nolans trilogy.

You guys have to of realized by now why DC films are going for the nolan template right? Its because they dont want to be seen as copying what worked for marvel. Thats why the word realism gets tossed around so much. It worked for the bat films. So they want it to work for their other films, cause its different. Different kinds of fans. No im not just talking marvel vs dc. Im talking comic book fans, vs nolan template fans. You notice how they are so scared to take the risk they want to wait to see how man of steel does. Then proceed with justice league. Then follow that with solo movies. The opposite of what marvel studios is doing. They dont want to be in their shadow, or accused of copying. They want to do it a safer way. That means comic book movie fans may not get true versions of the characters they love the most. How does that make you guys feel?

@batman1216. Thank you Mr Nolan. Dont mistake what I said for nolan hate. It just makes sense when you think corporate. A lot of what I said is already proven true. I just wanted some opinions. Thank you for yours. I enjoyed nolans films quite a bit. I dont trash talk on here. Usually. Been pretty drunk a couple times.

I absolutely loved TDKR Part 1 & 2. Although, I have to admit that Part 2 was slightly better.

I agree that Batman Knightfall would be one hell of an animated film! Though, they'd definitely have to split it up into two parts.

Young Justice is excellent. I am sad to see it go.

I've always wanted them to do a Kingdom Come animated movie, and have it be the very last thing that Kevin Conroy, George Newbern, and Susan Eisenberg do as the Big 3 of DC. Sort of like their final curtain call for Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman.

WYLEEJAY - you nailed it on the head. And thats my GREATEST fear. Its their pride and TOO much faith in Nolan, that will eventually make them abandon CBMs for a while. They need to trust the source more and realize "Real" ONLY works for characters like Green Arrow, Daredevil (but hes Marvel) and Batman. The rest NEED to be pushed further like Avengers.

Check out my editorial on it and i like to get your opinion: http://www.comicbookmovie.com/other_news/news/?a=61083

with so much news about MoS and JLA lately, Im about to write a followup
