Alaska Airlines and Disney Pixar have teamed up to create a special-edition
Incredibles 2-themed plane. Unveiled during Aviation Day, the plan features the Parr family — Bob, Helen, Violet, Dash, and baby Jack-Jack — decked out in their Incredible super suits spanning the fuselage.
“These characters are among the most celebrated characters in the Pixar family,” said
Incredibles 2 producers Nicole Grindle and John Walker.
“After waiting 14 years to see them on the big screen again, fans will love seeing them on their Alaska Airlines plane, too.”
In addition to the Parr family, the plane features an image of baby Jack-Jack's nemesis in the film: a raccoon. Travelers seated over the wings of the plane will be able to see an image of the raccoon, which was also featured in the
recent poster for the Incredibles 2 with Jack-Jack. At D23, a clip
was shown from the early stages of the movie featuring a standoff between Jack-Jack and the raccoon who gets caught rummaging through the trash.
“This plane will delight guests of all ages from San Francisco to New York and beyond,” added Natalie Bowman, Alaska Airlines’ managing director of brand marketing and advertising.
“Like all of us at Alaska Airlines, many of our guests have anxiously awaited Incredibles 2. We’re honored to take this incredible family to new heights and share the imagery with travelers across our expansive route network.”
The
Incredibles 2-themed plane is now flying throughout Alaska's route network. The plane will visit fans throughout the country via transcontinental routes and flights to Hawaii. Meanwhile, Pixar's animated sequel
Incredibles 2 hits theaters June 15, 2018.
