LOKI Star Tom Hiddleston Will Return As The God Of Mischief In New THE SIMPSONS Short Coming To Disney+

The Simpsons still airs on FOX (for now), but the latest short movie coming to Disney+ will take inspiration from the Marvel Cinematic Universe for The Good, The Bart, and The Loki. Read on for details...

Disney+ has announced that The Good, The Bart, and The Loki, a new Marvel-themed short from The Simpsons, will premiere on the streaming service on Wednesday, July 7.

In the short movie, Loki is banished from Asgard once again and must face his toughest opponents yet: the Simpsons and Springfield’s mightiest heroes. The God of Mischief teams up with Bart Simpson in what's described as "the ultimate crossover event paying tribute to the Marvel Cinematic Universe of Super Heroes and villains."

Tom Hiddleston will reprise his role from Loki, and The Good, The Bart, and The Loki arrives on Disney+ the same day as the penultimate episode of the iconic villain's solo series.

This will serve as the second in a series of Disney+ shorts from The Simpsons that tie into other Disney-owned franchises (the last effort, The Force Awakens from Its Nap, was based on Star Wars).

It'll definitely be fun seeing Loki take centre stage in an animated crossover like this one, and it's clear Disney is looking to bring as much exclusive content based on The Simpsons to its streaming service as possible. Ultimately, it's likely the series will move to Disney+ on a weekly basis, while it's definitely surprising that another feature-length movie hasn't arrived on that yet.

Used to love The Simpsons but it would take more than a Marvel crossover to get me to tune in to them.

Simpson sure are making some interesting shorts. Next I'm expecting a Die Hard themed one

@Waddles - that would be better than any of the movies since 3 (I don't remember how much there are, all I know is that they're forgetable)
