The voice cast includes Armie Hammer as Strong Arm, the superhero with super strength; Christian Slater as Lazer Lord, the superhero who hurls balls of laser energy; Mayim Bialik as Lady Lightning who possesses super speed; Teri Hatcher as Silver Skylark, the superhero who flies; Flea as Roller Man, who rolls into a big ball and launches at high speed; Darren Criss as Micro, who shrinks in size; and Sean Austin as Kid Kinergy who’s superpower is telekinesis. Additional voices include Jim Belushi as Mr. Cross, the leader of a covert operations military division assigned to investigate UFO sightings; and Michael Ironside as Xanar, the leader of the warring aliens from the planet Taegon who enslave other planets and raid their natural resources.

The cast introduction included a sneak peak of the trailer for the upcoming movie trilogy which you can watch below. The presentation was made by Stan Lee as both the creator of SLAM 7 and CCO of POW! Entertainment, and Andy Heyward, CEO of A Squared Entertainment.

"SLAM 7 is the first reality style comic books series and the first superhero project from Stan Lee Comics. We're combining fantasy and reality, comedy and adventure for a superhero series unlike anything I've created before," said Lee in his introduction of the cast. "These incredible actors have brought these alien superheroes to life even better than I could have imagined…if that's even possible!"

The SLAM 7 trilogy begins with three feature-length films, a monthly comic book and an animated television series thereafter, to debut in 2015. The Hub Network has the world premiere of all three movies starting with the first movie, Beginnings, in early 2014. Cinedigm will release a DVD and Digital release in the U.S. in summer 2014.

Stan Lee makes his animation film debut, giving voice to an animated version of himself in a starring role. In the story, Stan Lee is hired by Archie Comics to create a new group of superheroes. He finds himself stumped with writer's block and heads to the desert to clear his mind. When seven aliens suddenly crash land near him and start demonstrating their various superpowers, he decides, "Perfect! They will be come my next superheroes!" But almost instantly, he realizes they are being chased by the military and aliens from their own planet, and he needs to act quickly. He makes the decision to have them move into his house in Malibu where he will teach them everything they need to know about being superheroes. Comedy and adventure ensue as the aliens try to adapt to life on earth, and their new roles as superheroes, all the while running for their lives.

This looks to be for kids more than anything else. I'm sure my boys will enjoy it.

It's better than most of the crap they see on Nick.

@RorMachine Oh, the things that I've seen....the things I've seen.

Anyway, if the target audience is 3-10 then this is ok, if the target audience is any higher, this is garbage. But I can't really kill something that is targeted ONLY for kids.

It looks like Transformers meets The Avengers, Meets the XMen starring Stan Lee as Stan Lee.

The fact that it's for youngsters is no excuse..there's plenty of high quality kid's tv and movies out there. This is not one of them.

Stan Lee you are like 90 years old, why don't you just stay at home and drink camomile? You have enough money even for your great grandchildren to live a wealthy life.

The premise isn't awful. It kinda reminds me of the 90s action team cartoons like Gargoyles and Mummies Alive. The execution is just very weak though. The animation feels cheap and the dialogue and pacing are very off.

Seems like something nifty for kids. The animation itself is a little jerky and bad. In fact, a lot jerky and bad. But again, nifty for kids, and glad Slater's getting work.

Sucks that great animation and big acting names are being wasted

Animation looks bad and the writing is obviously geared towards kids too young to understand words.
I hate when people say it's okay if something sucks, it's just for kids.
When I was a kid, I watch really good shows like Gargoyles, Batman: TAS stuff people today commend as the best. Why has everything gone downhill since then?

Lol... The animation reminds me of Captain Planet or the After School Special. At least he's trying. I think the death of traditional Saturday morning cartoons and public arcades has robbed today's youth of their innocence.

It's very 90's... & not the best parts (Batman TAS, etc).

People need to understand that this probably had a very limited animation crew (should of waited till it was up to scratch tho...)
