UPDATE: Good Grief Charlie Brown! First PEANUTS Trailer
Charles Schulz's Peanuts characters that first appeared as a comic strip and then later led to numerous television specials is getting a computer-generated update for their next feature film. Hit the jump to check it out, you blockhead!
You can mark your calendar based on which Peanuts television special is being broadcast. Most families still park themselves in front of their tubes and watch the classics: "It's the Great Pumpkin", "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving." And now, we all can look forward, or dread, the new feature-length film that is currently being produced. There hasn't been one of those since 1980's Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown. The good news is that the film is being cared for by Charles Shulz's son, Craig. He's producing this 3-D/CG animated feature. The screenplay was written by Craig's son Bryan, along with his writing partner Cornelius Uliano. Steve Martino is the director. He previously helmed Ice Age: Continental Drift.
For the first time ever, Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the rest of the gang we know and love from Charles Schulz's timeless "Peanuts" comic strip will be making their big-screen debut; like they've never been seen before in a CG-Animated Feature film in 3D.
