Attack on Titan is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama. The series began in September 2009. The story of Attack on Titan takes place in a world where the remnants of humanity live inside a series of connected cities, isolated by enormous walls. These walls exists to keep the Titans out, gigantic humanoid creatures who devour humans seemingly without reason. These Titans have reduced the world's population to staggeringly low numbers. The 3 main protagonists of Isayama's manga are Eren Jaeger, his adoptive sister Mikasa Ackerman, and their friend Armin Arlert. Their lives are changed forever when a "Colossal Titan" breaches the wall protecting their town, leading to thee death of Eren's mother. Vowing revenge and to reclaim the world from the Titans, Eren, Mikasa and Armin join the Survey Corps, an elite group of soldiers who fight Titans outside the walls.  Haruma Miura plays Eren. Kiko Mizuhara is Mikasa. Kanata Hongo will play Armin. Satomi Ishihara portrays Hanji. Nanami Sakuraba is Sasha. Takahiro Miura is Jean.

This show/movie looks silly. Plus i remember reading on here awhile back saying that most of the characters are actually supposed to be American...

Why is it so hard to cast race appropriately?? Not like the world has a shortage of diversity..

Wires to fly through the air look super corny and lame.

Lame show

@xfan well with all the white washing Hollywood does I don't blame them for making it all Asian cast. The show is great tho. Don't know if this will live up to it considering all the time you get in a tv series to expand the characters and grow attached to them

Yeah, I'm not convinced. I get why a Japanese production would go with an all Japanese cast, but in this case it really doesn't work well. Just [frick]ing finish S2 of the anime!

It's a vore anime, giant naked human looking monsters that eat people, that are hunted by people using wire-stunts so they are easily killed and eaten themselves. This is one of those things I hear people rave about, watch it, and then wonder if the people who are raving about it has actually seen this ****. Yeah I don't get it, I like stories that make sense, this concept is all over the place.

It's actually explained in the show/manga how they build the walls so quickly.

SPOILERS

All Titans were once human beings. Some Titans manage to retain their human instincts to an extent. In addition to "normal" mindless Titans, there are "specialty" Titans with specific powers. One such power is the ability to generate solid structures such as armored skin, or in very rare cases, full-on architectural shit. The walls were created by these "specialty Titans" who managed to stay sane after their transformation.

I guess you have not read the magnas or see the show all is explained. And yes they cannot live in caves because they have to grow food and different size of Titans.

Also I am not sure if there are enough caves to go around to fit everyone.

Also no Titans were able to break the wall until a new titan showed up that was the largest they ever seen and it could break a hole in the wall to let the smaller Titans in.

Well it is anime but I have to say the story line for this is solid and really does not make you scratch your head and question how this is possible.

Anyways I am stoked I love the Anime show and I cannot wait for season two to hit.

@MexicanSuperman

When someone needs to question a movie based on fiction yet they are fans of CBMs or comic books in general that is all you need to know.

I mean I was playing Arkham Knight last night and yet not once did I question how Batman could take on an army etc!

Sad that Japanese animation had such a strong influence on Western filmmakers like Zach Snyder, and now Japanese filmmaking has devolved to mimicking a visual style derivative of their own! That's global consumerism for you.

Great point, even though movies from that region have been hokey at times they have helped pushed movies forward in the U.S.

For instance Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon had a big influence on a lot of action movies.

Also I ask anyone to watch Kung Fu Shuffle! To me that is a great foundation for a Dragon Ball movie!

I find this hard to believe ,everyone knows that If Japan were attacked by giant creatures they might build a wall but they sure as hell would also build giant robots to fight them .
