ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA Promo Art Reveals Closer Look At Cassie's Costume - But What's Her Codename?

Another piece of Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania promo art has found its way online, this time offering a much clearer look at Cassie Lang's new superhero costume. However, what is her MCU codename?

Over the weekend, we were treated to some new Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania promo art, and we now have one more piece to share with you. As you can see, that offers an even better look at Cassie Lang's superhero costume, and it may offer some clues as to what codename the teenager, played by Kathryn Newton, will have in the MCU.

As you'll notice here and in the other pieces we recently shared, the hero is simply going by "Cassie." However, based on the purple design of her suit, she's going to give Stature a miss and go by Stinger instead.

In the comic books, Scott Lang's daughter has been referred to as Ant-Girl, Ant-Kid, Giant-Girl, New Ant-Man, and Titan, but Stinger makes the most sense. There's been no sign of a helmet yet, and it's possible Cassie is only wearing this to protect her in the Quantum Realm (rather than becoming a hero during The Blip).

"I love the idea of Scott still relating to Cassie as a kid, but she's not, she's a young adult now," director Peyton Reed recently told Nerdbunker"She has her own ideas of what it means to do good in the world and she's trying to find her voice as a hero."

"She can also be a little critical of her father, that seemed really rich, something very relatable with families, because you don't always tell your parents everything that you do, they don't always tell you everything they've experienced."

In Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, Super-Hero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Together, with Hope’s parents Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought was possible.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania is set to be released in theaters on February 17, 2023.

I had a bad feeling Scott might bite it in Kang Dynasty…

Well, if Marvel is pushing Young Avengers (which they obviously have been leading up to it) then I’m assuming Stature but I can see Marvel going the astonishing route with Stinger.

@TheLobster - maybe Stinger when she's with the Ant-family, but becomes Stature by the time she joins Young Avengers. Atleast, that's what I saw someone mention yesterday and it makes sense to me

@bkmeijer1 - oooo yeah, good call - that does make sense.

I'm still sad that Cassie has grown up. I really felt that scene in Endgame, probably more than any other.

With his focus on family dynamic, Reed really might be a good choice for Fantastic Four

@Slotherin - I agree. But Quantumania already looks like the kind of movie I want Fantastic Four to be, so I rather see him stick to this

Stinger does make the most sense based on the suit and it's color, but maybe her suit is only a different color to set her apart more from Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Also, I like how it's a combination of both Ant-Man and the Wasp's suits.

So you have Ant-Man, Wasp, and even Yellow Jacket. All have the names of a bug as their name. Stinger doesn't fit. Clearly she should be called The Weevil.

I have already given her the code name Hot Tamale.

This is the first time I hear about Stinger being an alternate codename for Cassie. I'm not going to lose sleep about it though.
