When Jonathan Majors was cast in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, it was widely reported that the actor would be taking on the role of Kang the Conqueror. He's since played coy, refusing to confirm or deny that he will indeed be suiting up as the time-travelling villain in the threequel.
There are certainly plenty of fans who are convinced Kang will be revealed as Loki's big bad, likely in his Immortus persona, but it's hard to say whether that's something regular viewers will be able to keep up with! After all, time travel is a confusing concept at the best of times, and Majors playing multiple versions of Kang across the Marvel Cinematic Universe could get pretty convoluted.
Regardless, Majors was recently spotted at Golden Apple Comics and happily confirmed that he's playing Kang. As you can see below, he even signed the store's R2-D2 as Kang, telling them that "it was the first time he has EVER signed Kang on anything."
As much fun as the actor appears to have had here, there was some bad news for him over the weekend too. HBO has confirmed that they won't be moving forward with a second season of Lovecraft Country, a series Majors starred in alongside Black Canary actress Jurnee Smollett.
"We will not be moving forward with a second season of Lovecraft Country," HBO confirmed in a statement to Deadline. "We are grateful for the dedication and artistry of the gifted cast and crew, and to Misha Green, who crafted this groundbreaking series. And to the fans, thank you for joining us on this journey."
At least that will give him plenty of time to commit to playing Kang in the MCU, eh?
