Following what had seemed like an endless development cycle, Ant-Man has finally started showing progress recently. Following the casting of it's two main stars, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang and Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Edgar Wright has been frequently posting teases of the movie on his blog, 'EdgarWrightHere', including storyboards, and more recently small miniatures that presumably are for shot framing. What's most interesting about one of his more recent posts? It appears to show Michael Douglas' Hank Pym wearing the classic Ant-Man attire. Check it out!
Pretty accurate, right? This would appear to further confirm that we will see Pym suit up as the tiny Avenger and being the first to take advantage of the Pym particles to shrink and grow. The only thing I can see missing is his helmet - but that may just be an oversight of the model. The film will later flash-forward to the present day, where Rudd's Scott Lang takes up the mantle.
Ant-Man stars Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas, whilst Michael Pena and Clifton Collins Jr. have also been rumoured for roles in the film. The film is set to film later this year, from a script written by Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish, with Wright directing.
Ant-Man will hit the big screen on July 17th, 2015.
