More Aquaman action figures have been revealed at Comic-Con and these offer a closer look at characters like Orm, Vulko, Atlantean soldiers, and the monstrous Trench. Hit the jump to take a look at them...
We're roughly 24 hours away from the release of the first trailer for Aquaman and after a week of set visits, costume reveals, and more, excitement is understandably building. If you're at Comic-Con, you'll no doubt be well aware that the DC Comics adaptation is dominating the show floor and we now have some new images of Mattel's action figures which are shown in the midst of an undersea battle.
That means we get a much closer look at The Trench, a subterranean group of monsters who we know will end up squaring off with Aquaman at some point in the movie after attacking a fishing boat.
That's now all, though, as we also have some great shots of characters like Orm, Vulko, Black Manta, and a number of Atlantean soldiers. Needless to say, these will all be a must-have for Aquaman fans and you'll no doubt be able to create your own displays when they go on sale this fall. For now, to check out these new images, all you guys have to do is click on the "View List" button down below.
After clashing in Justice League, it's going to be fun seeing Arthur Curry and Mera finally team up in Aquaman because that's a pairing which is long overdue on the big screen for fans of the comics.
The more we see of Black Manta, the cooler he looks. According to those involved with the movie, he'll have two suits but only one of those has been shown off and this is presumably the final version.
Vulko is another character who was supposed to appear in Justice League but he was nowhere to be seen (presumably because scene delving into Arthur Curry's origin story ended up being cut).
At first, some fans were a little taken aback to see Orm decked out in purple but you have to give credit where it's due because this an accurate representation of his comic book appearance and looks great!
Here, we see Aquaman battling both Black Manta and Orm, something which could be indicative of what will happen in the movie. That ship on the right is believed to be what Manta uses to travel.
Yes, these are indeed Atlanteans riding sharks and there's no denying what an awesome visual this makes. It goes without saying that there will be a lot of kids who want their own shark this Christmas...
Here, we see a number of shots of The Trench battling Aquaman and company and it's fair to say these beasts look seriously terrifying. At least they'll give James Wan a chance to revisit his horror roots!
