AQUAMAN Enlists WONDER WOMAN Composer Rupert Gregson-Williams To Score
Rupert Gregson-Williams has been tapped by Warner Bros. to score their next DC Films entry, James Wan's Aquaman, which is due out in theaters on the very crowded date of December 21st. Come check it out!
Film Music Reporter has learned that 2x Primetime Emmy-nominated composer Rupert Gregson-Williams will compose the original motion picture score for James Wan's upcoming underwater DC superhero adventure, Aquaman.
Gregson-Williams is best known for composing the film scores for Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman and Mel Gibson's Hacksaw Ridge. His other credits include The Crown, The Legend of Tarzan, Veep, Hotel Rwanda, and several collaborations with Adam Sandler, including Sandy Wexler, The Do-Over, The Ridiculous 6, Blended, Grown Ups, That's My Boy, Jack and Jill, Just Go With It, and I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry.
The film stars Jason Momoa (Justice League) in the title role with a supporting cast that features Amber Heard (Justice League), Willem Dafoe (Spider-Man), Patrick Wilson (Watchmen), Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (The Get Down), Nicole Kidman (Big Little Lies), Temuera Morrison (Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones), Dolph Lundgren (Creed 2), Ludi Lin (Power Rangers), and Michael Beach (Patriots Day).
There's no word on when we'll get our first look at some actual footage from the film, but with Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One just around the corner, it wouldn't be a stretch to assume that Warner Bros. might attach the first trailer to their first major tentpole of the year.
