AQUAMAN Might Have Added THE 100 Actor Michael Beach To The Cast; Could He Be Playing Black Manta's Father?
Aquaman star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II shared a photo today of himself in Australia with director James Wan and may have revealed an unexpected new cast member. Come take a look!
Warner Bros. officially announced the start of production on Aquaman earlier this week with a full cast list, but it looks like they may have been holding back a surprise or two.
Black Manta actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (The Get Down) took to his personal Twitter earlier this evening to post a pair of photos of himself and director James Wan (Furious 7) in Australia meeting with Indigenous Elders and youth to obtain their blessings before they began working on their land, and the group photo he shares may have inadvertently revealed a previously unannounced cast member.
Sandwiched right beween Abdul Mateen and Wan is an actor that looks a lot like The 100 and Patriots Day actor Michael Beach. The studio has made no comment on the potential casting reveal, but seeing him pictured with Abdul-Mateen II has many fans online are already speculating that he might have signed on to portray the Black Manta's father in a possible flashback sequence.
Additionally, to add fuel to the fire, Beach follows both Wan and Jason Momoa (Justice League) on Twitter, so that could mean something.
