After meeting while filming The Rum Diary in 2011, Amber Heard (Aquaman) and Johnny Depp (Fantastic Beasts) tied the knot in February 2015. The former filed for divorce a little over a year later, and obtained a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) at the time after alleging that the Pirates of the Caribbean icon had assaulted her.
Depp is now suing his ex-wife in a $50 million defamation lawsuit after she published an op-ed insinuating that he had been physically abusive. That will be going in front of a judge in due course, but newly revealed evidence suggests that Heard may have faked some of her injuries.
That could lead to the beautiful Justice League star spending three years in prison for falsifying evidence!
Depp claims that Heard used makeup to paint on bruises after she said that he gave her two black eyes ahead of an appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden in 2015, and her stylist Samantha McMillen has said, "Throughout the day of December 16, 2015, I could see clearly that Amber Heard did not have any visible marks, bruises, cuts, or injuries to her face or any other part of her bod."
In California, it's a felony to fake injuries like these, especially while obtaining a TRO. The maximum sentence is three years in prison, and depending on the judge, an example could be made of heard if Depp's claims counter claims are correct. What this means for Aquaman 2 is unknown.
