A brief video Aquaman actor Jason Momoa in the middle of sword fight rehearsal has surfaced on Instagram. Does the King of Atlantis lose his trident at some point during the Justice League movie?

A short clip of Jason Momoa practicing a sword battle has surfaced online. Filmed at 87Eleven Action Design's studio, it seems Aquaman will be taking on two other sword-wielding adversaries in James Wan's film. Does the King of Atlantis lose his trident in Zack Snyder's Justice League, or is this a flashback scene in Wan's standalone pic to a time before Aquaman acquired the mighty Atlantean weapon?

ABOUT THE DCEU AQUAMAN Movie
The standalone Aquaman movie arrives in theaters on October 5, 2018.

James Wan directs from a script written by Will Beal after a treatment was first created by Wan and Geoff Johns.  Wan has confirmed that the Aquaman movie won't be a complete origin story as the Justice League movie will tell that portion of Arthur Curry's story.

The film stars Jason Momoa as Aquaman,
Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Vulko,  Yahya Abdul-Mateen as Black Manta, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry and Patrick Wilson as Ocean Master.

I hope it's him training with a sword FOR the Trident. Because that weapon could b the game changer in terms of how powerful Aquaman will actually be.

@MutantEquality - If this is an origin story I'd bet he gets the Trident down the line and not right away.

In the only thing that is good Momoa, muscles and weapons, doesn't even need to speak, or act well

Starting to think Momoa only signed up so he could pretend to stab things. Nothing wrong with that of course.
