That guy sounds excited. Not like the grim bastard that introduces most US trailers. "In a world...."

IMO It's not enough to just put a superhero in a film and then call it a comic book movie, it should feel and look like it as well, to me this is the only comic book movie that accomplishes that. Whedon respected and embraced this genre for us to enjoy and hoped he will deliver which he surprisingly did. I'm lucky to to see this film and watch it again several times, yeah sure tdkr will be awesome as well but for me like some of us always say, it's just another Batman movie, I'm still going to watch it but not as many times as The Avengers, then I'll wait for the dvd just for the sake of completing my collection of Nolan's Trilogy. :)

Where was the EPICNESS of the new TDKR trailer? Other than the fact of it being a new trailer, it looked no more new than the first one.....boring.

Avengers = comic book come to life.

The Batman films = crime drama with a cape.

Simple!

I love the world the Nolan created, it was a different take on one of my favorite characters. I'll be sad to see it end this summer.... That being said, i wouldn't mind the next version of Batman to be a 60/40 mix of CB batman and Nolan style...

I agree with Nomis. Nolan's Batman films are comicbook movies. Not every comicbook has the same tone and feel, just like every comicbook movie shouldn't have to. The guy dresses like a bat. He fights crime as a vigilante using gadgets that do not exist in the real world. He fights criminals that use methods and technology no criminal in real life, or representations of real life in film use, and wear masks or make-up and use names like Joker or Scarecrow. No self respecting criminal would sport a mask like Bane is in TDKR.

NOMIS

While Batman is more of a street leveler than the majority of his DCmates, there are still some elements of suspension of disbelief within his own universe in DC. Nolan has done nothing to capture that aspect of being a comic book movie. Nolans Batfilms seems more just like crime drama that just so happens to have Batman characters in it.

But again, this is my opinion

@Nomis

I understand what you're saying and thank you for responding so nicely :) but for me (and me only like I said "in my opinion" ) everytime I watch Nolan's films I feel like something is missing and I can't figure it out

@Ortonito:

Have you read any Batman comics? Yeah it's a crime drama and sometimes a psychological drama but it still follows the basic traits of the character :)

@0SageMode0

Just ignore the guy dude it's not worth it.

Gotta watch Avengers again. It's too good. You'll love it.

And about Batman, while I really like Nolan's version I want the reboot to be something like the Arkham game series. That would own.

Eat it Marvelites! The Avengers is a cgi cartoon for kids with no depth..tdkr trailer just tore it a new ass...this movie will barely make $300 million at the box office...take that to the bank!

deadpoolbeatsall, what's your point making that comment in this thread, except to stir the pot and cause trouble?

@Fogs - agreed. Ready for a reboot, and want to see a set up like the game series too. Not a copy, but at least a more fantastical world, where Clayfaces, and Killer Crocs, and some of the Batman foes I have been dying to see on the big screen can exist...and hell, maybe set up other DC heroes, ala Marvel, for a JLA movie.

@knossis - I get that. And loved BB and TDK. But after movies like Lord of the Rings, Avatar, even the footage we have seen of the Hulk so far, it makes me think the technology is there to make Clayface or Croc look good on screen. It also comes down to perception, as always, as my favorite Batman stories have been when he is facing a superhuman foe with nothing but his wits and devices to keep him from going down.
