The approaching release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier has garnered quite a few updates on The Avengers: Age of Ultron this past week. In anticipation of her role in the 2015 Marvel sequel, South Korean actress Kim Soo Hyun (Claudia Kim) attended last week's Winter Soldier premiere, where she was asked about her mystery Age of Ultron character. “I am a doctor/scientist who is friends with Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.),” she hesitantly confirmed to ScreenSlam Thursday. “But I can't give you more information; my lips are sealed for now. It's very secretive,” she said. The identity of her character is supposedly a spoiler, at least according to alleged Disney reps. They recently commented (via AllKPop): “Soo Hyun has been ultimately cast as a supporting actress among the minor characters of Avengers 2.” As previously speculated, Claudia Kim could be playing Su Yin, the neurosurgeon who tried to correct Stark's deteriorating nervous system in the comics. Perhaps there's a subplot in The Avengers sequel that involves repercussions of the playboy billionaire having shrapnel removed from his chest in Iron Man 3. Anyhow, Claudia Kim is expected to take part in the Age of Ultron sequences filmed in Seoul, South Korea, from March 20 to April 12.
Speaking of the supporting Iron Man characters with minor roles in Avengers: Age of Ultron, it was revealed not long ago that Tony Stark's longtime artificial intelligence J.A.R.V.I.S., who has been voiced by actor Paul Bettany, would somehow evolve into the artificial android known as The Vision. When Slash Film asked Kevin Feige about the potential spoiler casting, the Marvel president danced around the question. “I don’t think we’ve officially said anything but other people said things,” he said. An extra tidbit: Latino Review's Elmayimbe still insists that Ms. Marvel, or Captain Marvel, will appear in Age of Ultron, although the capacity of the role is still unknown. What do you think?
The Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Cobie Smulders, Jeremy Renner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, with Paul Bettany, Samuel L. Jackson, and James Spader. The film is set for release on May 1, 2015.
