Paul Bettany Promises 'Roof-Raising' Moment For 'The Vision' In AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

Promising certain characteristics of J.A.R.V.I.S. will still be present when he becomes The Vision, Paul Bettany also teases an "extraordinary" way the character will earn the Avengers' trust!

When Comic Book Resources took part in Paul Bettany's roundtable interview at last month's San Diego Comic-Con, the site quoted the British actor on more details about his role as The Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron, and how it evolves from voicing Tony Stark's artificial intelligence J.A.R.V.I.S. When asked if he'll miss the sassiness of voice character, Bettany replied, "I wouldn't say I missed it because I don't think that it entirely went away." He continued, "You'll see. And as he is born and becomes more realized, it's hard to be ironic when you're -- I know what you're talking about because there's a sort of irony and knowing with J.A.R.V.I.S., but it's hard to be -- I mean, babies aren't particularly ironic. But he's somebody who is learning about the world at quite an exponential rate, and he becomes more sassy as the movie continues." The actor was then asked how will Earth's mighties heroes feel having The Vision around, to which Bettany promises a crowd-pleasing scene in Age of Ultron. "Incredibly jealous!" he joked. "It's just been, like I said, a really lovely working experience. I think there's a lot of, initially in the plot, as it were, a lot of distrust, and that has to be navigated by The Vision, and he does it in a quite extraordinarily shocking way. He gains their trust in a real -- it will be -- it's a real roof-raiser of a moment. Everybody will flip." Until we get an official look at Bettany as The Vision, who is created by Ultron in the movie to prove that he, too, can create life, take a closer look at the character's backside which was released with the  Age of Ultron conceptual art for Comic-Con.

Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Cobie Smulders Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, with Paul Bettany, Samuel L. Jackson, and James Spader. The film is set for release on May 1, 2015.

I'm honestly not excited for this movie at all. I know it'll be awesome, but the success of Avengers alone hasn't convinced me to be excited for this. I need some footage or something.

God I hope they don't ruin his look. I want that John Buscema look for all of the Avengers, but cinematic universes will continually be afraid to go the comic-accurate route in a world rooted in realism. Oh well. At least make sure there's plenty of green. I don't want him to look like a bootleg Iron Man with a cape.

He better [frick]ing look like this in his final form and not an Iron Man suit copy.

This is exactly why Iron Man should not have been the creator of Ultron / Vision

Iron Man as creator... *sigh* I really hope this film doesn't make us look back and go "it would have been so much better if Ultron was set up in Ant-Man first"

Anyway, Vision look cool.

pym- calm down maybe they are doing it like i the comics where he starts off red like the image nomis posted above. then maybe his body in this film is partially destroyed and then hopefully he gets a newer green one.

Though I am worried that they are going to be fighting a bunch of robots in the climax similar to fighting a bunch of aliens in the first movie.

@EzioKenway1225 a film is only ever "crowded" when you're trying to force major screen time for everyone. Everyone doesn't need to be a focal point.
