A Brand New Promo Video For AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Sees The Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Meet Star-Lord

Previous marketing material for Avengers: Infinity War, including past trailers, have already revealed that Spider-Man will be fighting alongside Star-Lord on Titan alongside other members of the Guardians of the Galaxy. However, unlike Thor, we haven’t seen how the hero from Queens meets the space adventurer and his team.

Now, a new but low-quality copy of a new promo video from Disney's Movie Surfers reveals their first encounter. Along with this moment between the two heroes, we also get more footage of the film’s New York battle, including a brief new shot of Spidey before he receives his Iron Spider costume. The promo also features some new behind-the-scenes shots of Tom Holland in his mo-cap suit, which the actor wasn't too fond of.

An unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Infinity War” brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time. The Avengers and their Super Hero allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe. Anthony and Joe Russo direct the film, which is produced by Kevin Feige. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo and Stan Lee are the executive producers. Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely wrote the screenplay. “Avengers: Infinity War” releases in U.S. theaters on April 27, 2018.

They should try to get Joss Whedon to do at least 1 X Men movie

@dracula - Eeehhh.... I think I'mma pass on that. Not that I have a better name hand-picked, though... There are only so many Russos to go around...

@Spock0Clock - He did have one of the best X Men runs in marvels history

he got rid of the movie inspired suits and gave them back costumes, making them look like superheroes again. his stories have been adapted into motion comics and as his TV shows show us, he can write a large cast, even if they dont have history yet, which the X men arent going to have since they havent been in the MCU yet, and its not like they will give them all solo movies before they form the x men

@dracula - ...if by "best" you mean "made Spock0Clock finally give up reading X-titles monthly", then yeah.

I'm not saying Whedon definitely would screw up a cinematic X-Men reboot (movies can color within the lines by adapting existing comic stories in a way that comics obviously can't), but the one-two punch of Morrison and Whedon felt like it was the final death-rattles of Claremont's legacy.

Besides, Whedon can't be trusted to write and direct a big group of unestablished characters on his own. Dude's kind of a mess.

@Spock0Clock - He wrote and directed unestablished character for years with Buffy, Angel and Firefly, he is the one who established all those characters, and all those shows had big casts, and he did the Serenity movie. Also was one of the main writer for Toy Story

The Morrison run might be my fave putside of the Clatemont stuff. Besides that flimsy Magneto/Xorn bit, its almost flawless for me.

Those new shots of Spidey in action look great.

Also, just got out of Rampage. Good God, was it stupid but fun.

I have no idea what this movie is about, honestly. Beyond the attack on New York stuff and the final fight in Wakanda, it's pretty much a big blur of backstory and awkward introductions in my head.

Considering how tight the Russos usually like their stories, I tend to believe that there's going to be some real ratcheting up and epic paying off happening. And I've got enough to fill my time to help me avoid obsessing about it for the two-ish weeks before seeing it.

I'm in a good place with this one, I think. Not jonesing, and not fan-theorizing, just waiting.

So Spider-Man throw cats. Why does it seem like every time Jon Watts gets his hands on Spidey, he turns him into a little punk but the Russos make him a badass

@PeterSparker - Never known Spider-Man to be "a badass". And if you got into comics to nitpick about power levels, then you're reading comics for all the wrong reasons. Seriously, who [frick]ing cares, in the sincerest way possible, it doesn't matter at all. And if you actually watch the movie, he has the same power level, he's just not fighting the same threats. What reason would he have to throw a car at bank robbers with advanced tech? You have no imagination whatsoever.
