Thanos Overhaul
When I think of the Mad Titan from the comic universe I automatically picture a stout very large being with his arm outstetched holding The Incredible Hulk off the ground by his throat. This is one thing to see in the pages of a comic but to see it come to life on the silver screen would be an absolute dream come true.
Picture this, all of the Avengers are arriving on a planet to intercept Thanos from completing the Infinity Gauntlet with the last stone. But they're all just a little too late, as we see the camera circle around him as he places the final gem into its place.
We then see several quick cuts of different characters faces in terrified awe as the titan begins stepping towards the group. Altogether they begin a rush towards the threat but Thanos sends out an array of energy blasts and sends several members of the Avengers flying through the air with backhands, kicks and throws. None of them able to land a significant shot on the villian. But we seem to have our saving grace in none other than the jade giant himself: Hulk.
We see a front on shot of Hulk charging full speed screaming with arms pumping to what is sure to be surefire bet at stopping the havoc. But he is stopped abrubtly in his tracks when Thanos reaches up swiftly and chokes Hulk and lifts him off of the ground as he looks into his eyes and says, "Death will welcome you." Followed by a ground shattering choke slam into the planet that would imbed the hero into the ground rendering him unconsious.
High Stakes Moments
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has it's fair share of intense moments that are fumbled into a quick quip from comedies' sake. Oh no, Iron Man sacrificed himself to send the nuclear warhead into space to save everyone. Wait.. He's woken up by the Hulk screaming? Alright. Wow, I can't belive Peter Quill would sacrifice himself to save the life of someone he barely knows - how heroic. Oh he's not dead? He wakes up and makes a joke immediatly? Fair enough.
It sounds like I'm nit picking I'm sure, and don't get me wrong, these moments are funny but they often leave me thinking there isn't anything to lose in this universe. I don't intend to harp on the comedy used in these movies, trust me, I'm a fan.
Here's another possible direction to go, so envision with me again if you will. Spider-Man is in the battle with the Avengers against Thanos' right hand men The Black Order as the titan watches over the action. Several of the team members are rendered unconsious and Spider-Man doesn't take Tony's old advice of "Web him up, keep your distance." He attempts to jump into the fray with more than one member of the Black Order and they ulitmately pin him down with their bladed weapons looking to Thanos for the order.
With the gesture of his hand one of the members impales Peter Parker. A moment of horror and cinematic intensity would insue with looks of twisted horror on the awakening Avengers' faces.
If this wern't enough, a scene of Tony apologizing to Aunt May could seriously drive the moment home and have us all crying in the theater.
Now this is just an example, and they could bring our wall crawler back to life in Avengers 4 but for that moment, with no quick jokes to counteract what just occured, we'd be left in nerd shambles.
X-Men
I'm sure none of you saw this coming at all right....?
I mean, how could anyone not want this? What are the actual possibilities of this happening this soon? Probably not high at all. But with Disneys' recent purchase of Fox's movie assets it's hard to not dream.
With this inclusion being said, one last hypothetical scenario must be said. This is it, the Avengers are on their last straw. They've been beaten and battered the entire movie and are in full retreat re-strategizing and healing wounds.
Some of them didn't make it out of the last fight. At some point in the movie Dr. Strange has broken off from the main group of heroes to come up with a new approach. In his abscense he discovers the ability to travel to alternate dimensions. While figuring this new found mystical art form out a portal is opened for him gesturing him to step through.
In this new universe, that looks just like our world, he comes across a sign that reads, "Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters." He follows the lead of the sign into a gate that leads to an impressive mansion. As he steps up to the front door it opens automatically to reveal a newly casted Professor X and Cyclops. Professor X ends this amazing moment by saying, "Steven Strange... We've been expecting you." The end credits then start. Once again, this will probalby not happen but my word would it be an absolute game changer.
