AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Has Now Earned More Domestically Than JUSTICE LEAGUE's Worldwide Haul
Avengers: Infinity War is only the fourth movie in history to pass the $2 billion mark globally but its North American haul has now topped what Justice League made during its entire run worldwide...
Avengers: Infinity War has now been in North American theaters for seven weeks and while it doesn't look like the epic superhero ensemble will top Black Panther's incredible $699 million haul, it has now reached $660 million (which, in itself, is a fantastic result). The Russo Brothers helmed release is, in fact, the fourth biggest movie of all-time domestically and it managed to pass Titanic this weekend.
Aside from Black Panther, the other box office juggernauts in front of it are Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($936 million) and Avatar ($760 million). It could be a long time until those are topped.
However, with a domestic haul of $660 million, Avengers: Infinity War has topped Justice League's worldwide cume of $657 million. This probably shouldn't come as a surprise considering the fact the Marvel movie beat that number globally within a week of release but Earth's Mightiest Heroes' latest adventure making more in one country than the DC adaptation did in all of them isn't good.
This is unlikely to faze Warner Bros. as the studio is currently going back to the drawing board with the DC Films Universe and Justice League is now very much in its rearview mirror. What do you guys hope comes next for these characters on the big screen? As always, share your thoughts down below.
