According to Forbes, Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War has now passed the $2 billion mark at the global box office.

Analysts had expected the superhero ensemble flick to hit the milestone over the weekend, and while it didn't quite manage that, the Marvel epic now joins Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Avatar and Titanic in a very exclusive club.

For a more detailed breakdown, Infinity War had amassed $655.7 million domestically and $1.34 billion overseas, giving it a grand total of $1.999.4 billion as of Sunday, June 10th. So, while today's numbers haven't been announced just yet, there's no doubt that it will have passed the $2 billion mark.

Expect a more offcial announcement from Marvel at some point today.

Well deserved.
Feige and Marvel Studios took 10 [frick]ing years to build up a foundation solid enough to create an Infinity War movie.
MCU is now a monolith that none can destroy.

Fun fact: this past semester I took a class that required us to read and analyze different scripts (specifically the scripts for Karyn Kusama's movies). We read two different versions of the script for the Aeon Flux movie from a decade ago and did a compare/contrast, we watched two different versions of the movie itself and did a compare/contrast, and we had to come up with our own pitches for a new Aeon Flux film franchise (plot ideas, casting ideas, writer/director ideas, etc.). Part of that assignment required us to watch an episode of the cartoon, and man... that cartoon is [frick]ing WEIRD.

@MUTO123 - If Peter Chung isn't involved then [frick] whatever MTV is planning. The movie was [frick]ing garbage. The cartoons are super creative and unique. Nothing like it since.

Do you guys think this movie made at least a billion profit when you subtract budget and marketing and theatre fees n all that? I'm not well versed on the profit margins of movie making
