AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Secures A China Release Extension To Help It On Its Way To $2 Billion
Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War was looking likely to hit the $2 billion mark anyway, but now the film has secured an extended release in China, virtually guaranteeing that it reaches that milestone...
Avengers: Infinity War currently sits at around $1.974 billion worldwide, meaning it was all but certain to cross the $2B mark at some point early next week. Now, Deadline reports that the Marvel Epic has secured a rare 30-day extended run in China, which will definitely help in rounding up those last few dollars.
Though it doesn't happen too often, Disney has also been granted extra play in the Middle Kingdom for Coco and Zootopia.
The extension is hardly surprising, as Infinity War has continued to perform incredibly well in China since its $199.3M bow in early May - the 2nd biggest industry three-day debut behind The Fate Of The Furious.
