Today marks the first day Avengers: Infinity War is available for home viewing and Marvel has provided USA Today with an exclusive sneak peek of one of the film's deleted scenes.

It seems that initial conversation between Gamora and Thanos after they returned to his base was originally going to play out a bit differently. The video below reveals a time before the very first Guardians of the Galaxy movie, when Gamora had a terrible haircut and thrived in her role as Thanos' #1 assassin and enforcer.

Avengers: Infinity War is available on Digital OnDemand today, while physical Blu-ray and DVD copies hit retailer shelves on August 14.

Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and the rest of the Avengers unite to battle their most powerful enemy yet -- the evil Thanos. On a mission to collect all six Infinity Stones, Thanos plans to use the artifacts to inflict his twisted will on reality. The fate of the planet and existence itself has never been more uncertain as everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment.

A gripe I always had with Gamora in the MCU is they never really made her "The Most Dangerous Woman in the Universe" as much as I would've preferred them to. There was more of a focus on her and Peter's relationship that kinda pushed that to the side.

@Kman - That label got thrown out the window as soon as they had her strongarmed by a couple of prison thugs.

The comic book Gamora would have ended them with her bare hands.

@Kman - I agree. Abnett and Lanning depict her as a much shadier character, closer to what Daredevil season 2 does with Elektra. I would've liked to see more of that touch of evil in her so that when she becomes nobler it feels like more of a transformation. That and making her a little more powerful would've better delivered on the character potential.

I think Gunn wanted the whole gang to be fun, likable, and sympathetic to the point where he took away some of the edge both Gamora and Drax should've had.

This would have actually been pretty great to have left in.

Would've liked to see some scenes of her in action to really earn that title, but this is good stuff regardless. Great character scene. Too bad it didn't make the cut.

I feel this could've been included in the final cut.

TBH, I would've happily sat through a three-hour version of Infinity War, no questions asked.

Needed more Thanos/Nebula/Gamora dynamic.

This needed to be in the final cut! I thought it was rather odd how thanos found her to be special when she was so innocent

Unpopular opinion but I didn’t like Zoe’s “you asked the universe for a prize” monologue.

Also - would’ve preferred it to remain silent when Gamora was thrown off the cliff. The music blasting was a little over the top.

Thanos is such a badass

If he kills it in Avengers 4 he can take his place next to Darth Vader is one of the best villains ever

Can't wait to see him again in Avenges 4 and maybe in Eternals
