Marvel Announces The Start Of AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Production With An Epic Video; Releases New Concept Art
Lights, camera, action! Marvel Studios has just released an epic announcement video for the start of Avengers: Infinity War production featuring our first look at some of the cast & new concept art!
While we may have been expecting a press release, Marvel Studios had different plans in mind.
Just moments ago, the Disney-backed studio released an absolutely mind-blowing behind-the-scenes video officially announcing the production start date of their biggest film yet - Avengers: Infinity War.
The nearly four-minute sneak peek is introduced by three very familiar faces: Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2), and Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Homecoming), who share a few of their thoughts and express their immense excitement at finally getting to merge Earth's Mightiest Heroes with the Guardians of the Galaxy and of course, with the wonderful world of Spider-Man.
We also catch a few fleeting glimpses at the set and a couple cast confirmations, namely Holland, Chris Hemsworth (Thor: Ragnarok), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier), Anthony Mackie (Falcon) and Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), who will all reprise their roles from previous installments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The biggest surprise comes near the end when we get our first look at some Infinity War concept art that features Rocket Raccoon, who will be voiced by Bradley Cooper, teaming-up with Hemsworth's God of Thunder. It's not particularly revealing, but it may spoil some of Ragnarok as it features Thor (presumably) wielding Mjolnir in his left hand and some sort of battle sword/axe in his right hand.
As for any details regarding the film's plot, the video indicates that it'll be Tony who senses the incoming threat of Thanos and he'll once again attempt to do everything in his power to keep Earth safe, but that may be easier said than done as at the start of the film, he is still not on speaking terms with Chris Evans' Captain America. We're also teased that the Avengers will be completely blindsided and unprepared for the arrival of Thanos, which likely means they may be in for a galactic-sized beatdown.

So, what do you guys think? Excited? Sound off with your thoughts below!
How big of a threat does Thanos pose, you ask? Big enough to span two epic films, beginning with Marvel’s “Avengers: Infinity War Part 1” on May 4, 2018, and concluding in Marvel’s “Avengers: Infinity War Part 2” on May 3, 2019 for one massive cinematic event.
“We’ve always had a plan since Nick Fury broke into Tony Stark’s house and told him he’s part of a bigger universe," recalled Feige. "'Avengers: Infinity War Part 1' is the beginning of the culmination of everything that has come before."
