One AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Scene Was Almost Much Darker...And A Whole Lot Bloodier

While things in the Marvel Cinematic Universe do get serious, the movies released by Marvel Studios remain pretty light for the most part. However, it's now been revealed that Avengers: Infinity War could have been even darker, with one scene, in particular, sounding more extreme than we're used to.

According to Slash Film, the scene where Thanos talks to the younger version of Gamora after snapping his fingers and killing trillions was at one point going to feature the Mad Titan walking through a river of blood which would have obviously been a metaphor for all the people he had just killed with a snap.

This obviously would have changed the dynamic of that sequence entirely and might have made the ramifications of the snap a little less surprising, especially as his emotional reunion with Gamora led to us returning to Wakanda and seeing all those heroes turn into dust. Still, a river of blood would have been quite something! What do you guys think? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.

They totally should've included that. But I can see why they didn't.

The House of Mouse has a reputation to uphold.

@L0RDbuckethead - A reputation that includes allowing Family Guy and Simpsons to continue on with their original method of highly offensive storytelling, apparently.

@GAThrawnIGF - Get used to it. The Simpsons AND Family Guy will be getting their own film.

Seems like someone can't get past the Gunn firing...

Sorry man, move on.

Either way is fine. Between this scene and the Gamora sacrifice scene...it cemented my belief that Thanos is tied with Ledger's Joker for favorite villain.

The emotion, score, and beauty of that scene getting the Soul stone was by far my favorite of the film, and just made Thanos that much better.

But that would be weird kind of river, considering not everyone has red blood in the mcu

What we got works better imo. Its this SERENE MOMENT OF REFLECTION for Thanos. Its simple and oddly beautiful. Its a weird contrast with all of the death he's just caused.

The whole river of blood sounds cool but its VERY on the nose.

@BlackBeltJones - and if you noticed he doesn't enjoy killing , unless it was loki.......everyone else, he views it as simple math unfortunately . so you're right too on the nose.
