We know that Sebastian Stan will return as Bucky/The Winter Soldier in Avengers: Infinity War and that he'll fight alongside Black Panther in Wakanda but beyond that, we have no idea what Captain America's former sidekick will be getting up to here. In a new interview, though, the actor has shed some light in regards to the feeling on set and it's fair to say that it sounds downright epic!
"I feel a lot like that Jon Snow character," he confessed. "You remember ‘Battle of the Bastards’? ‘Battle of the Bastards,’ first of all, was one of the best episodes. […] For anyone who knows out there, when there’s that shot of Jon Snow, from the back as horses are charging at him and he’s just standing there, that’s kind of how I feel on set at times. Will I make this stampede or not?"
It turns out Stan knows very little about said stampede as he wasn't allowed to see the full script. "I only read what they gave me the day — it’s usual only a day-to-day thing. I certainly don’t know what I have to do next," he said of the move he describes as "the biggest culmination of anything and everything they’ve done so far." So, are we going to see Bucky wield the shield as Captain America?
"It’s just speculation," he replied before adding: "I honestly have no idea. I really don’t know what I would said to somebody that would ask me that question. […] I don’t know. We just gotta all survive this war." It would certainly make sense to take things in that direction but is Marvel really going to kill off Chris Evans' Steve Rogers? We'll find out next May but could be waiting until Avengers 4 in 2019!
