"The End Is Near" In This Epic TV Spot For AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR

With a new look at Avengers: Infinity War coming this evening, Marvel has released a TV spot for the movie touting that new release date and declaring that "The End is Near" for Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Entertainment Tonight is going to release a new behind the scenes look at Avengers: Infinity War later today and while many fans are hoping that will herald the release of a new trailer for the latest Marvel Studios movie, we're all forced to just wait and see until something official is announced. In the meantime, another TV spot has been released and this one highlights that early new release date.

Unfortunately, there's no new footage here but we do get a fresh line of dialogue not heard in the first trailer declaring that, "The end is near." It's unclear which character is saying that but it could be Corvus Glaive, one of Thanos' Black Order. Regardless, it's an ominous warning and one that could spell doom for Earth's Mightiest Heroes when they come to blows with the Mad Titan late next month.

What do you guys think of this new Avengers: Infinity War TV spot? Share your thoughts down below.

So it's basically a faster paced version of the first trailer..

@Nebula - yep. Only noticed 1 shot of groot. That's it

@RocknRolla - The Groot shot also isn't new.

It's from the Superbowl spot.

@Nebula - The faster pacing of the dialogue is horrible.

@Mattapherr - Agreed. Probably because we're so used to it sounding as it did in the real trailer. All of the sound editing seems off in this spot though.

Man I really hope this movie beats all expectations, because just the sheer large scale of this movie. It's a culmination of all that the MCU is made of. I truly hope this doesn't disappoint.

@RageDriver2401 -
A ton is riding on this movie - if it messes up then i doubt people would just accept it and see the next MCU movie. It needs to be amazing, even if it is clearly not going to give us all the awesome story and visuals that fans wanted from the comics.

@Scarilian - people went to see Justice League and Wonder Woman after BvS. Marvel is at the 20 film mark without a big slipup yet, I’m sure they’ll be OK even if it’s bad.

Anyone else notice something going on with the site?

I’m sure an article just got pulled for the exact same that I had already commented on.

Normally i'm all for secrecy with these big films, but i need another trailer to convince me after the concerning remarks about Thanos, character interaction and the final battle.

@Scarilian - how can you need convincing. It's Russos

@Vigor -
I have heard the same thing said about Snyder, Whedon and others.

This is the biggest project the MCU has tackled, the biggest project the Russo's have tackled also, it has a lot of room for error and comments made by Feige have concerned me.

For example;
This film has five villains, at minimum, to introduce and develop - and people got concerned when Spider-man 3 had three villains (one of which was already developed)
Vigor
Vigor - 3/12/2018, 5:14 AM
@Scarilian - I think some of those villains (cull obsidian, possibly corvus) won't get much more development than being a physical threat for our heroes. And to me that's OK.

Ebony will probably betray thanos and that's his role, lokis is playing the role of little finger from game of thrones, or Mephisto. He's already developed. We also need to see someone interaction from gamora dn nebula with their siblings. Otherwise than that it's fair game for cull obsidians development to come strictly from his brute strength
connorblaze
connorblaze - 3/12/2018, 5:50 AM
@Scarilian - nah it’s really got one villain to develop (and they’ve said it’s his movie through and through, so he’ll be well developed) and four minions. Minions don’t need to be well developed. They’re bad alien dudes working for a big bad alien dude. Got it, done. I never needed to know more about ‘The Tinkerer’ in Homecoming. Every movie has a bunch of minor villains.
But I agree 100% it’s a massive task regardless. Getting all those characters to interact meaningfully, all those clashing tones to mesh (a talking racoon and The Winter Soldier in a scene?!) and that kinda convoluted ‘magic gems’ plot to actually work? Wouldn’t be half so tough for them if they hadn’t done so much buildup with the gems in other movies so they’re all over the joint and all have confusing and muddled backstories. That’ll be the hardest part. How do you get through all that exposition of what each one is and where it is and how it works. Would be easier if they didnt do confusing things like have the mind stone inside a blue crystal, that gave two kids red and blue powers. And they said in Avengers that it seemed to be powered by the tesseract. And it did shoot blue energy bolts just like the tesseract did so... very confusing.

This rests on the believability of Thanos in CG. In Brolin we trust.
Scarilian
Scarilian - 3/12/2018, 3:36 AM
@BillyBatson1000 -
It's more his character development and effects as a villain - along with what they do with the Infinity Gauntlet itself - after many movies setting up the individual Infinity Stones.
BillyBatson1000
BillyBatson1000 - 3/12/2018, 3:42 AM
@Scarilian - You're right. And too many of these projects have led up to a poorly reasoned, CGI-heavy 'nemesis', it's a common, comic book movie flaw. So my money's on Marvel learning from those earlier mistakes (theirs and DC's).

I've been dodging all those EAT articles spoiling the movie, etc. the only spoilery one I've read was the Rocket and Bucky and Thanos intentions, but that's about it. After this second trailer, I'm going dark.
