Mark Ruffalo Talks CIVIL WAR; Plays Down The Possibility Of Another Solo HULK Movie

A interesting interview has just emerged, featuring Marvel's very own Green Goliath: Mark Ruffalo. In it he discusses The Hulk's future in the MCU - and where we may (or may not) see him next. Obviously he talks about the ending of Age Of Ultron, so be wary of SPOILERS!

By now, you'll all be very aware that everyone's favorite giant green raging monster had a pretty ambigious conclusion to his Age Of Ultron storyline - appearing to fly off into the sunset away from his fellow heroes. In a recent interview with Collider (via Comicbook.com), Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo shed a little light on the Green Goliath's future in the MCU.

"I think it's four [movies] now," he said of his current contract with Marvel, "But that could always go further... I could show up in another character's movie. I could do Avengers 3 and 4, I could do a Hulk standalone - like any combination of those things. Up to four or five."
Conversation then turned to Marvel's much-anticipated Civil War venture - for which Ruffalo has so far not been confirmed to be a part of. "I don't know that I'm in it yet," he reiterated, "but sometimes these things happen at the last minute in this world. I really don't know where I fit in from here on out, and I'm not sure they do. In terms of a stand-alone Hulk movie, Marvel doesn't really have the rights to that yet; that's still Universal's property. So there's that issue."

Ruffalo's Hulk has been a fan-favorite ever since he stole the show back in 2012's The Avengers. Many fans have expressed hope in seeing him star in his own solo Hulk movie - perhaps even in a Planet Hulk adaptation. While Ruffalo played down that concept, he maintained that everything was still very much up in the air at Marvel Studios, with Hulk's Age Of Ultron ending being intentionally "totally ambiguous" - so perhaps there's still some hope!

What do you think? Would you like to see Marvel secure the rights for another solo Hulk movie in Phase 3/4, or do you think the character is best left to the big event movies? You can check out the full interview with Collider right here, and as always, leave your thoughts in the comments below!
