Will Captain Marvel Make An Appearance In AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR? Here's Your Answer

We've all assumed for a while now that Carol Danvers will make her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Avengers: Infinity War but is that really where we'll first meet Captain Marvel? Find out here...

We recently learned that Captain Marvel will have a 90s setting and feature Carol Danvers squaring off with the Skrulls. The fact the movie is set years before the events of Iron Man has left us all wondering what that means for her future in present day Marvel movies but it has now been confirmed that Brie Larson won't be suiting up in Avengers: Infinity War. However, this was probably to be expected!

Previously,  most fans assumed that Carol would show up in this movie and that it would be where her origin story is revealed. That's clearly changed, especially now her movie takes place in the 90s. It's possible that she'll appear in The Avengers 4, though, as we'll know where she's vanished to by then.

It was co-director Joe Russo who ruled out a Captain Marvel appearance so this isn't just a rumour! Carol could be in a Skrull prison or even in some sort of stasis which will change during Thanos' attack and result in her helping out the Guardians and Avengers. It's hard to say right now but at least we can forget her making a cameo appearance in Infinity War. How do you guys feel about this latest update?

@jerryblake - Makes me wonder why fury said in avengers that Asgard showed shield that they were outgunned by aliens. Wouldn't the Skrulls have shown him that in the ninties??? Or was he lying to the avengers???

@SecretWarrior - Interesting. They likely weren't considering setting anything alien related in the past at the time. That said, if you wanted to try to excuse the line now, you could probably make the argument that because the skrulls were defeated, Fury didn't feel outgunned.

@MyBeard - True. Maybe he got mind wiped? Because he certainly never mentioned any super people to the Avengers at all ever. Ant man, Cap. Marvel, winter soldier, black panther... All had careers during Shields hey day

They probably don't count post credit scenes as part of the movie. That's where she'll pop up first I imagine.

@BeyondtheFuture - That's my guess too.

Never thought I would be hyped for a Captain Marvel movie. Fantastic choice of directors and badass concept arts.

Wasn't there a tease in Doctor Strange?

The last one he talks about isn't her?

@MrWarlock - guess not. Works better this way though. We don't need to have directors being held too much to what was established in Easter Eggs when a name wasn't even mentioned.

We know this literally for more than a half year now. It was never the case she would show up in Infinity War, just like The Wasp. They want to give these both characters enough time to be introduced in their "solo" installments.

cue the hate for this being pointlessly set in the 90s...oh wait this is Marvel and not Fox? Well never mind then.

@Origame - perhaps if you spent more time enjoying what you enjoy instead of worrying about what other people like you'd have a better time... Just a thought.

@Origame - In this case its not pointless, if they start the 90s and shes been elsewhere they can introduce here to the current marvel universe in current movies as someone who has had their power for long enough to understand it, accept it and not have another run of someone being a newbie for avengers 4. Chicks going to be an absolute powerhouse.

@Origame - I guess you missed it but there was definitely hate for this movie being set in the past.
