Disclaimer...I am not a anti Nolan fan by any means...that was just for those who wanted SO BADLY. To see this film fail that they made dumb arguments on how it will no doubt flop. I don't care which film makes more as long as both do well and we know TDKR will be fine and we now know the Avengers is a solid hit. Win/win.

I love to troll too, but for once let's just keep TDKR vs Avengers arguements out of this discussion. I mean we already have two BOX OFFICE articles where people are butt hurt about the movies' success let's just keep it over there :D

going to see it in less than two hours. I'm not buying into the hype though - i've been burned far too many times.
I'm very excited for this movie but I do think a lot of the Marvel fans are jumping the gun a bit. Look at the movie that had the biggest thursday opening in the UK.... :o

Tea - I'm not reading anymore reviews before I go. I stopped after I read that Hiddleston's performance was better than Heath Ledger's in the DK...
I just want to go and enjoy the movie. I don't really care how much money it makes or if it has a bigger opening weekend than the DK or Hunger Games.

Do advanced screenings count as a formal opening?
JudgeDeath
JudgeDeath - 4/27/2012, 11:40 AM
Havok - funny you mention that. Harry Potter and half blood prince made £7,800,000 on a wednesday and thursday preview - which dwarfes anything on the list above. Bit strange.

just in from a 5.30 start
no trailers for spider-man or dark night

we did have a hulk though.

WE HAD A HULK!
HE STEALS THE SHOW.
EXCELLENT.
8.5 OUT OF 10
only because these four kids in the seats behind me, were enjoying it so much that they discussed the movie constantly as it rolled.........
but i know when I watch it in my own living room I will give it a ten.
a full house for an early 2d show, and only about ten folk stayed for the mid credit scene......the closing titles are actually pretty good also.

The Avengers is what every CBM wants to or should be. The best ever hand down. Everyone in the theater was rooting for the heroes during the final battle, literally celebrating all of their heroic acts and there were a lot of them.

Hmm, its important to note Star Wars episode 3 didn't beat TDK in the long run
