Fans of Captain Marvel finally have a reason to rejoice. This Sunday morning Mar vell finds his way to the small screen fighting beside The Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes

The episode titled "459" features the Kree born Mar vell and airs this Sunday at 10:00AM ET on Disney XD.

Hawksblueyes: I have yet to see any of the ratings for this show. I hope it sticks around long enough for everyone to get a chance to see it, because every weekly episode seems to trump the previous weeks. IMO, it started off strong and gets progressively better as it goes.

Cool! You're totally right, Hawks. This show just seems to get better every week. Introducing a Kree can only lead at some point to some version of the Kree-Skrull War. I LOVED the Masters of Evil episode and a great twist on the classic storyline where the Masters of Evil took over Avengers Mansion back in the '80s.

Leee: No Hank + no Jan = no movie worthy of the name Avengers. I think this show is going to blow away the movie.

I cannot wait to see Ultron in this show.

comicbOOkguy: I can't beleive they are consistently telling some of the original Avengers stories (while updating them) and doing the stories no injustice. So far they have all been updated and presented in a manner that makes me feel like I am experiencing them for the first time. I love this show.

comicbOOkguy @ Your right dude, if we don't even get a cameo, Marvel Studios will start to go down hill lol... Still we've still got THOR! : P

Your right about the toon man, damn right!

DP @ Hellz yeh!

Oh The show is amazing, I agree with Hawks, it only gets better and better every week, it has a potential to have as much seasons as the CLASSIC X-MEN and SPIDER-MAN back in 90´s had, like 4 or 5 seasons.
Nice find man!

wait...this doesn't look like the same Captain Mar-Vell. Is this the same one? I know his Kree origins make him blue skinned but is this the same one?
Ibz
Ibz - 12/7/2010, 4:18 PM
@comiccritic87 it is the same on i am guessing he will evolve in to the captain mar vell we know,in his first appearance he had a similar costume but it wasnt as slick looking and they honestly need to show thors warrior side the guys still hard to beat even with out his powers, something the movie show cased that was my only complaint about the last episode
Tymminator
Tymminator - 12/7/2010, 4:27 PM
@Rokker, Mar-Vell was indeed a member of the Kree minority that were White skinned instead of Blue skinned.
StuckInPanels
StuckInPanels - 12/7/2010, 4:29 PM
@IBZ...lets hope he becomes a prominent character as the series grows

Ibz - 12/7/2010, 4:34 PM
there taking the ultimate route with his design, he's blue in that, who knows they might just use the ultimate version altogether although i hope they make him turn in to the 616 version of mar vell

can't wait for falcon to be on this show. Dr. Doom is rumor to appear so i would love to see an avengers/fantastic four team up, and i read somewhere that spiderman tried multiple times to join the avengers so, i would love to see that in this show.

Actually, in his "true" form, ultimate Captain Marvel is quite alien, but he could indeed take on a blue humaniod form.

@drknight92...lets hope all those Rumors come true. Perhaps the Ultimate Spider-man will have a cool crossover with this cast of Characters....if they last that long with episodes

Saw the preview at the end of the last episode. I have to say that while I have really liked this show thus far I am for the first time really disappointed at their total screwing with an established character. As you can probably tell from my avatar, Mar-Vell is one of my favorites. They really screwed the pooch on this one though. Mar-Vell is supposed to be a pink skinned kree as opposed to a blue skin. A large part of his make-up as a character was his being thought of as being unpure by the blue-skinned kree. The whole racial undertone thing was going on early in the characters developement which was back in the late 60's, and continued on thru the Starlin years. He was always having to deal with the blue skinned elite of the Kree empire. It was also what made him relate to the human race much more so than his own.
StuckInPanels
StuckInPanels - 12/7/2010, 6:04 PM
@nik...perhaps the blue skin is a cover up. He is disguised to hide his pink skin. To hide the shame or guilt of being different. After seeing the Avengers for who they are, he may show his true form and wear the classic and more iconic suit
Ibz
Ibz - 12/7/2010, 6:28 PM
like i said before there NOT screwing with established characters because there clearly using the ultimate mar vell, so this has nothing to do with racial undertone mate, the animated series is borrowing different aspects from different runs, trying to create its own little world

I prefer the Classic Mar-Vell, but I realize that they are using elements from different universes to create something unique.

As long as they stick with a "Classic" core, I'll be fine.

I just don't want to see them "rush" into things and throw Luke Cage on the team in the first season or anything like that.

I'm old school, I want Wolverine on the X-Men and Luke Cage and Iron Fist running Heroes for Hire.

Have guest appearances all you want, just keep the core team "Classic" with nobody joining the team that hasn't been on the team since the 60's and 70's.

ComradeGrey - 12/7/2010, 9:05 PM
If they're using Ultimate Mar-Vell...does that mean other ultimate elements?

I've always wanted to see a Marvel animated Movie based directly on "Ultimate Galactus"...

I would love this to be the first step.

This is one badass cartoon! They really nailed the characters, villains and stories! MUCH better voice-acting than the 2 Ultimate Avengers straight-to-DVD movies. I liked them for the most part, but the voice of Cap was really weak. I also didn't like the shape-shifting aliens. Wakanda was a cool setting, though. But I like this Black Panther much better. A lot of the stuff really has that Kirby look, too. Notably MODOK and the Leader. Total Kirby mouths and teeth! Love it!

I'm very happy with the direction of the show. People keep saying they want to see new members and cameo's but I'm happy with the core members. Give me Thor, Cap, Iron Man, Wasp, Hank and Hawkeye and I'm happy.

If they don't have every character and villain ever associated with the avengers in the movie I'm boycotting!! There's only so much you can do in a 2 hour movie people. Obviously they are an integral part of the avengers, but some things just have to be left out. Forget all you know or have seen before and just enjoy it for what it is. Let's be thankful that Marvel is creating this awesome live action representation of our favorite superhero team and enjoy it!! Let's face it, if you were to choose between who they are and aren't Including I would say Marvel is spot on!

Ibz - 12/8/2010, 5:31 AM
oh and by the way people there using the stan lee and jack kirby era as a major influence on there stories but they just updated the looks, @Ultron i dont think you have to worry i doubt they will rush in to new avengers and stuff, hopefully this can last for couple of seasons because i want see doom appear, latveria was mentioned in the first episode, in just love the way they just have easter eggs pretty much every episode, and especially the wolverine cameo

Hawks: I couldn't have said it any better! This show is taking some classic stories and bringing them to a new generation to discover. I'm looking forward to seeing what they're doing with Captain Marvel this week, and hope that they're laying the first groundwork for doing the Kree-Skrull War at some point (hopefully next season- don't want to do everything right away and leave nothing to look forward to).

I also agree with those of you who would like to see a crossover between this show and the new Ultimate Spider-Man show. Hey, they're both on the same network, and both owned by the same people, so maybe it happens. Spidey has been an Avenger and has worked with the team over the years, so there is precedent.
