Talking to MTV News while promoting his latest movie, Puncture, the actor has shared his thoughts on what it was like to work with Stan Lee on the set of The Avengers. Of course, he wouldn't divulge any details of the scene he shared with the comic book creator, but had nothing but good things to say about his time filming alongside "The Man".

"He's an amazing human being. The guy is a living legend. He's so positive and so upbeat and so energetic and just a nice man. There are very few people I've met who have achieved so much and have still maintained this youthful excitement."

"He's so happy to do things. He's so excited to live his life. He wakes up every day and he's so excited to be Stan Lee. It's a great thing that someone can hang on to that after years of dominating."

STARRING:

Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America
Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man
Chris Hemsworth as Thor
Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye
Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Ramanoff/Black Widow
Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk

Stan Lee is great because of what he's done, but not because of what he does. Outside of cool cameos and random bits here or there, he doesn't seem to have any direct involvement in much of anything of importance anymore.

I still like him though!

@Champ6: He doesn't have to DO anything.

It's about his legacy at this point. He's done more with his life and impacted more people he can coast through the rest of his life on his past accomplishments.

And I'm sure he's doing things. He's doing that Super humans T.V. show. Probably other things we don't know about yet.

@Gmoney84 You met Stan Lee? Hell, I wish I could meet him. I've been a HUGE fan of him and his work ever since I was 5 or 6 years old. His work has inspired to become a comic book writer when I get older. His work, to me, is legendary! He seems like a really cool and amazing guy and I never get tired of his cameos. Never. I just hope that I can meet him soon.

Mr. Stan Lee, you are definitely The Man! God bless you, sir!!

In his defense, Chris Evans was probably too busy staring at Scarlett Johansson's ass.

@Greengo - if you're thinking about what you did yesterday, you haven't done anything today.

Stan has done great things, don't get me wrong, his contributions to the comic book industry have been beyond crucial, but his latest ideas have been "The Governator" and "Stripella". While both of these sound like fun, entertaining ideas, they aren't really contributing to the industry anymore. Heck, Stan Lee doesn't even have involvement in a company that's named after him anymore!

Either way, I would never bad mouth Stan Lee directly, I'm just pointing out the obvious. Now if something comes out that proves me wrong, by all mean's I'll admit I wasn't correct, but saying "he doesn't need to do anything anymore" is just plain silly.

@Champ6: People deserve to retire and just enjoy life after a long, fruitful and productive career. The Man is having fun. : )

I kinda like that quote. It could also be said: if you thinking about what your going to do tomorrow, you haven't done anything today : ) lol!

I grew up one of Stans "True Believers" watching Spiderman and His Amazing Friends, The Incredible Hulk, and The Fantastic Four(When Johnny was replaced with Herbie). Not to mention all the "Bullpen Bulletin" articles in the comics. I have grown up in a world where Stan Lee was arguably the most influential person in the growth and direction of comics and comic book properties during the '70s and '80's. He has left an indelible mark on comic book history and without him comics and comic book movies would not be what they are today.

@Champ6- Stan's forgotten more characters than most others have created so if he wants to have some fun with kitchy and gratuitous creations lacking in depth or substance simply because they (Stripperella) bounce nicely while fighting crime then, dammit, let the man enjoy himself! He's certainly earned it.

God forbid stan dies... I think The Avengers being his last movie would be a epic conclusion to his cameos
