EDITORIAL: The Marvel Cinematic Universe Character Similarities With TWIN PEAKS

It is happening again. Here is a lovely editorial for all you to read...with your eyes. It's basically comparing MCU character traits to those of the masterpiece known as Twin Peaks. Spoilers, obviously.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe and Twin Peaks are both amazing in their own ways. The latter is more of higher quality, obviously. Still I wanna compare the characters from the two. So without further ado...

Special Agent Dale Cooper/ Steve "Captain America" Rogers

Both characters are pure of heart and the ultimate heroes. They are extemely likable and never give up no matter how bad things get. They also worked for the government at one point. And, they both "disappeared" from society for several years after trying to stop the enemy. They come back after all these years, but they aren't quite the same as they used to be long ago. But deep down they are the same individuals as they were once. Not to mention, they are both extremely attractive and muscular.

Bobby Briggs/Tony "Iron Man" Stark

Both are the bad boys of town. Bobby and Stark were once careless and very selfish until they learned how to use their talents to help others. Bobby became a deputy and Stark became a superhero. Both characters also had daddy issues and tough childhoods. Both seem to be fan favorites and are "too cool for school". Both also underwent some of the best character development in both of their respectful franchises. They also had complex romantic lives.

James Hurley/ Bruce "Hulk" Banner

Both are the "loners" of the group. They prefer to be on their own and don't really want to be bothered by anyone. They wanna have like a journey of their own self-discovery. They're like very soft-spoken and kind to others. But they both have a secret or a special talent. One of them is an enormous green rage monster and the other is a singer who receives standing ovations at the local bar/club. Guess which one is which. Lasty, both are cool. They've always been cool. One more thing: they like to ride motorcycles.

Gordon Cole/Nick Fury

Both are in charge of a special government agency that deals with bizzare sitations. Both are also hadicapped but this doesn't really interfere with their work unless they wanna see something better or hear something better. Both characters also have their own sense of humor. Cole and Fury possess knowledge of the "unknown". Cole was and kinda still is in charge of Project Blue Book that deals with mysterious cases and Fury knows of aliens or Skrulls since he ran into them back in the early 1990s.

Diane/Maria Hill

Both are former federal agents were held powerful positions at one point (FBI and SHIELD) They are both sassy (YAS!) and don't really wanna deal with the bullshit (ugh) of their former bosses (Cole and Fury). Diane and Hill also have or at least implied to have their own agenda and may be secretly working for the enemy (Diane with Evil Cooper and Hill might be a Skrull!). The two characters are tough and super badass!

Laura Palamer/Jessica Jones

Both Laura and Jessica are victims of truly evil men. Laura and Jessica had troubled lives and were abused both physically and mentally by their abusers. Both characters are meant to serve a greater purpose (Laura to stop BOB and Jessica to stop Kilgrave and other crime). Both characters are flawed as people but this isn't their fault. They take a lot of drugs. Laura Palmer is perhaps the best written character in the entirety of Twin Peaks and Jessica Jones is perhaps the best written character in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Major Briggs/Vision

Both are literally perfect as people (er...or individuals since Vision ain't human). They are the ultimate good and are truly worthy as characters. If Major Briggs was in the MCU, I have no doubt he would be able to lift Thor's hammer. I mean...he went to the White Lodge! Meanwhile if Vision was in the world of Twin Peaks he would have no trouble going into the White Lodge. Major Briggs and Vision are also highly intelligent and know shit about everything.

Leland Palmer aka BOB/Kilgrave

Yeah...these two characters are pure EVIL. They are rapist murderers who prey on young women. They get inside of their victims' heads and try to "possess" them in different ways. BOB and Kilgrave are also very extremely creepy and uncomfortable to even watch most of the time.

The Waiter aka Senor Droolcup/Stan Lee aka The Watcher?

Both characters are old and randomly appear from time to time. Both either give clues or easter eggs about past or future events. They're also like very funny to watch on screen. Pretty much sums this up here.

So...yeah. That's it for now. Might do a Part Two soon. Never know...

Before clicking this, I knew Steve was going to be compared with Dale. How is the new season, by the way? I haven't been able to watch it yet. Is it as good as the first season?

I thumbed your article up......

But I do not agree with it at all.

However it was a great work even if I did not like it. Does that make sense?

There's so many characters in both, this must have been easy.
