POLL: What Do You Think Of The New Avengers Costumes? Plus Comparison Pics

We have got a good look at Black Widow, Captain America, Thor and Loki sporting redesigned costumes for The Avengers . But what do you think of their new looks?

Josh has already gotten your opinion on the outfit Hawkeye will sport in the movie, but what about the returning characters who we have seen on film already? We don't have Iron Man since we haven't had a good enough look at him yet and The Hulk will be CGI. But below are some comparison pics courtesy of the lads at Geekrest. So who looked better in their solo movie outings and who looks better now? Vote away.

















The most drastic change is obviously Captain America. Black Widow with only some small design changes and a new haircut. Loki looks quite different but that might also be down to a new do he is sporting. The least different seems to be Thor, with only very slight design alterations.

what the hell is up with captain america....

costume really suck's.. to bright! and where the hell is his bulk! do they feed the cast enough on the set. lol..

evans lost bulk, hemsworth lost bulk, scarjo looks pale, ... :s

i hope they fix it for the movie

I love Cap, but wow. I'm just not sure about his upgrade. That helmet just doesn't seem to work, does it? And Chris has definitely lost some of his body mass. But still, i hope it translates well to the screen.

Im not crazy about the "i like the original better" option on captain america because the original is of course supposed to look completely different.
I do however think it could use some improving, so I don't want to say its perfect, I still like it for the most part though

Caps new costume is better than the 1940s football uniform he was wearing, but his smaller build and crash-test helmet is killing the look.

Widow is worse on all accounts. She looks 10 years older, 10 pounds heavier, sexy curls to short soccer mom do and the original suit is much sleaker.

Loki looks badass with the longer hair and more solid look of leather and cloth over plastic chest pieces and toyish green. This costume makes the other one look like Halloween at Walmart.

The new suit has better arm metal than the original. It looks more metal than rubber. But the chest piece looks a little cheap and the top disc are too big. Put the new arms on the other costume for the win. Either wat, Hemsworth looks awesome as THOR and is in great shape.

Cap's looks good from the neck down. helmet makes it looks like his head is growing.

Widow's looks about the same, just a little sleeker.

Loki looks a lot cooler.

Thor looks about the same....still awesome.

People must not realize that THOR is now wearing blue nylon jogging pants with red stripes. I'm sure they add flexibility but I think I like the biker pants and boot look better. His wrist shields look cheaper now too. Before, the metal covered his entire wrist, now he has on tie-on bike pad things.

I'm looking to the final edit lighting to solidify THOR's suit.

Actually that is a good point I should have mentioned. It's not really a fair comparing film stills and set pics. I mean it's cool cos we can still spot the changes but the overall look/effect will prob be different on film.

Joker13 makes a good point. But from these pics I prefer the original in all cases. The longer hair on Thor works though.

Cap's suit is awesome, IF.... they showed off the muscles more. They should've use Man of Steel's material :) And Ror- I would've used sleeveless Thor from the teaser trailer to compare. I'm not sure if they'll use the suit alot in the film but DAAAAAAMN, I lost my mind when I first saw that XD

captain america: fail. original (or at least the one from first avenger) is better

black widow: Like em both the same, but the bracelets in the new one look like a bunch of pens held together with a rubber band

loki: Love it, much better.

thor: Like em both the same.

Hawkeye: good. very similar to ultimates, needs something to protect his eyes...

the only costume that became real dumb was captain America,like something a kid would put up for Halloween,very poor quality,all others ok but still the original was better in the case of black widow also but nothing too bad

but captain America they have seriously screwed it,now he looks like some bright blue kid

The TFA Outfit better, it just looked, ...awesomer lol

Back widow looks the same

I like the old thor look for a minute detail but its his shin gaurds on his legs. I like the mettaic ones better than the cloth lookin ones. But i do like the wig they gave him for avengers ,much longer

I had high expectations for the Avengers... The more I look at Cap.Ams outfit it just screams: IT´S GOING TO SUCK!!!!
My God, whats up with the egg-head/Cone-head thing. And hes arms should be white! ...And he looks skinny when the helmet´s that big.

Cap's helmet apart from the absence of 1940's trimmings, looks exactly the same to me, so should look the same on screen. However, the spandex costume on its own is fine, but when placed next to the SHIELD uniforms of Widow and Hawkeye, the IM suit and Thor's godly cloth, Cap just looks completely out of place. He doesn't look like he's suited for purpose.

Plus Chris, you lost too much bulk sir.

Widow's uniform just doesn't fit like it did in IM2 does it gents?

can't see why there is sooooo much hating on Cap's new costume... the helmet will look a ton better in official pics and on film... seriously... people complained that TFA one was to military looking, people say that this one is too goofy looking, make up your mind people! Personally I like it, it pays homage to the comic look yet keeping an updated sleek design no unnecessarily changes, that still don't make sense like some I could mention...

Loki's outfit looks awesome, very cool. Cap's helmet looks odd, but I am not sure how they fix that with that type of helmet. I didn't even notice the difference on the other two.

ok wow... it looked that good on screen yet, it didn't in the set pics, the new one looks pretty good in set pics, it will look amazing on screen...

Caps-Looks more form fitting and utalitarian. This is the future of battle gear, slimmed down with less bulk. Evans needs a tan, he's too pasty.

Thor-Looks the same.

Hawkeye-Good look, again, slimmed down and functional like Cap.

Widow's-The same look but shorter hair. ScarJoes always been a woman with curves and this shows them off.

Loki-Good look! TH could wear a trash bag and pull of the Loki character!
