Will THE AVENGERS and GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Crossover?

In an interview with Total Film, James Gunn has elaborated on his quote from earlier in the year. Is this a sign that The Guardians will meet The Avengers?

In early 2013, James Gunn sat down and spoke with Hey U Guys about Chris Pratts audition for the role of Peter Quill/Star-Lord. In the in depth interview, Gunn had stated that:

"We saw a lot of very famous guys for the role, a lot of very well-known people, and very, very good actors," he continued. "We saw a lot of good performances, but it wasn’t until Chris came in and he read and I was like, ‘oh my God’, this guy has his own, very particular, amazing take on the character that blew my mind, blew me away. Then I thought, this is the first guy I could see sharing the screen with Robert Downey Jr and giving him a run for his money."

Well, it seems like those ideas may actually come to light. In an interview with Total Film, Gunn has gone on to explained that he wanted to find someone that could be a good verbal sparring partner for Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) when the pair eventually meet, and Pratt isn't fazed by this potentially career-defining role.

I love how everyone is like "duh its obvious ". Dont be daft. Not one of us have a single clue what these guys are planning. i guess the mandarin was obvious huh? Most ppl just decide what they want is what is going to happen. Marvel has nvr out right said, yest these two teams will lead to them coming together to yada yada infinity stones. They could and most likely will go another route. And besides there is no way to manage and properly give good screen time to an eleven man team and side characters and villain(s?) and story. Hopefully they don't decide to do this stupid idea and keep both teams separate. Its good enough they operate in the same universe.

I'm assuming Avengers 3 will involve the Avengers, the Gaurdians, Agents of SHIELD and the Netflix shows in some way.
