Hidden atop a secret mountain stronghold lies the League of Shadows and its fearless leader, Ra’s al Ghul. Together with his equally dangerous daughter Talia, he oversees a trained army of assassins with plans for global domination. But an uprising from within the league now threatens to shift the balance of power and sends Talia and her young son, Damian, fleeing to Gotham City. With assassins on their trail, Talia seeks the protection of Batman, who, unbeknownst to him, is the boy’s father. With his son in tow, Batman wages war against the villain Deathstroke and the League of Shadows, all while teaching his headstrong boy that one can’t fight crime by becoming a criminal. With help from Gotham’s finest, including Commissioner Gordon and Nightwing, Batman will soon discover that his son and most trusted ally are one and the same!




The voice cast features Jason O'Mara as Batman/Bruce Wayne; Stuart Allan as Damian; Morena Baccarin as Talia; Giancarlo Esposito as Ra's Al Ghul; David McCallum Alfred Pennyworth; Xander Berkeley as Kirk Langstrom (aka Man-Bat); and Thomas Gibson will play Deathstroke. Son of Batman comes out May 6th, 2014 on DVD, Blu-ray and for digital download and will have its world premiere at WonderCon over Easter weekend in Anaheim, Calif.

It will be interesting to see what they do with this movie. I really can't wait to see a Robin that is more dangerous then Batman.

I too wonder what the next big announcement will be. I wonder if it will be who is playing Nightwing and Oracle or Mercy Graves and Hope Taya Lex's bodyguards.

But, yeah, this is gonna be awesome. I'm so happy this exists.
I'm kinda hoping that they work in a Batman Begins-esque origin. Bruce training with Ra's would give this particular story gravitas.

It would also give Damien time to grow up, if Bruce and Talia got it on, before Bruce returned to Gotham. Instead of Damien being grown in a tank.

I'm hoping for a photo of Bats and Supes "suited up" in their new costumes....but i also hope to win the lottery.....however they are filming soon, if that means anything in terms of promoting the movie....

I think you're right, for it likely being another casting announcement....has Nightwing and Oracle been rumoured to appear? If so, my excitement for this movie just went up another notch. Be interesting to see who they choose...no one springs to mind atm

The rumor that keeps popping up is that Nightwing is in the movie and Bruce and Dick had a falling out. So I take it has to do something with Barbara and that is why I brought up Oracle. As for Bat's suit I so can't wait to see it. From everything you hear about it the suit should be great.

Since they retconned Oracle, in the comics, I hope they have Barbara as a cop, personally. She could be this movie's version of Sgt. Gordon. It would be in keeping with her character and history and would also seed a future Batman Beyond movie.
Also, the rumors we are hearing say that Bruce has had a falling out with "Robin". Maybe it's Jason Todd. That would be much more fitting.
I'm personally hoping that Bruce has an army, in this film. We've heard he'll probably have drones and that the inspiration for this Batman is taken from Kingdom Come, Dark Knight Returns and Batman Beyond. Maybe he will have drones and an army that he trains, as he rarely goes out into action himslef. That way, they could throw in Nightwing, Red Robin, Carrie Kelly and anyone else they feel we would all love to see.

One of the best things about Damian was his relationship with Dick Grayson they cannot screw that up. Peter Tomasi's run on Batman and Robin was a little regressive.

The original story is amazing, though this film sounds like it has little in common with it. This really disappoints me. From the description, we see the unnecessary inclusion of Deathstroke, a change in Talia's motivation and a change in Damian's origin. My excitement for an adaptation of one of the greatest Batman epics is greatly diminishing.
